Hurricane Melissa has now become a category 5. The Patriots have won 5 in a row and are first in the AFC East. The Celtics have lost all 3 games they have played. The World Series is tied. No winner in the mega millions yet. The government shutdown is on its 27th day. Airports are starting to see delays because of it.

A massive sports betting bust involving the mafia and the NBA, more than 30 people were arrested including three former Celtics players. The NBA is reviewing the allegations. The Celtics are in New York with the Knicks tonight. The Bruins lost 6 in a row after the loss to the Ducks yesterday in the TD Garden. The Chargers beat the Vikings last night. The government is still shut down, and federal workers will miss their first paycheck. SNAP will run out in Massachusetts next week, affecting as many as a million people.

The mega million is worth more than 700 million.
