New Theory: Joseph Used BOTH Stones in the Hat!

Jerry Grover walks in with a theory meant to end the shouting match.Joseph and Oliver said they used the **interpreters** the whole time. Emma, David Whitmer, and others talk about the **brown seer stone** after the 116 pages. Historians pick a side. Jerry’s riff: **maybe both were in the hat.**In this episode with Chris Blythe and Brad Whitbeck:- Interpreters first, curtain first — then the hat- Why the switch may have come from the lost 116 pages (skins over the face)- One interpreter stone + Joseph’s own stone- “Gift and power of God” covers both tools- What **Gazalem** might actually name- The brown stone is banded iron formation — not dinosaur gizzard- How a Wyoming-looking rock ended up 25 feet down in New York- Provenance: Oliver → Phineas Young fight → Brigham → the Church- Is *this* the stone, or one from the donated box?- Don Bradley and Jerry hunting the white seer stone in a developed hot spring- Why seminary “lied to me” is usually human error, not a conspiracyIf this kind of speculation shakes you, the episode says it out loud: **your faith was never supposed to live in the geology of one rock.**#SeerStone #BookOfMormon #JosephSmith #WardRadioGot it. Tonight Lisa Keller, community organizer from Idaho, joins Cardon Ellis and Brittany Ellis in the Ward Radio Wig-Wam to update us on the latest from Idaho!

Patrick Bet-David and Tony Robbins sat down to talk about America’s future — and walked straight into Mormon missions.Robbins: a **belief is a poor substitute for an experience.** PBD: send the kids out so they stop taking America for granted. This reaction episode is about why that only works when it’s undergirded by faith.- Not a weekend orphanage trip. Two years. Local currency. Local food. Local buses.- Language in six weeks — the clip even nods at how the FBI noticed- Why a secular “national service” still won’t do what Jews and Mormons do- Meaning in every relationship: premortal, mortal, eternal- Forgiveness as the thing that actually repairs a country- Stop acting like the underdog. The people building things keep saying the same line: *those Mormons figured it out.*Be loud. Be proud. 1869. The Salt Lake Temple is barely out of the ground. And the Saints are printing **First Nephi in a brand-new alphabet**.The **Deseret Alphabet** was Brigham Young’s phonetic rewrite of English — no silent letters, no exceptions. *Tough* is just **TUF**. Immigrants were supposed to learn English faster. Schoolchildren got primers. Apostles like Parley P. Pratt were on the committee. It flopped.English speakers didn’t want a new alphabet. Printing was expensive. Only **four** books were ever produced. Flooded basements wrecked a lot of the rest. The irony Reid Moon drops in this episode: **more people use the Deseret font today than ever used it in the 1800s.**Reid brings an original 1868–69 Deseret Reader into the studio — three witnesses page, pronunciation key, the real artifact — and walks through:- What the alphabet was *for* (schools, not Adamic code)- Why it wasn’t a Kirtland cipher- Why a complete Deseret Book of Mormon is still one of the most affordable 19th-century LDS collectibles- Two original readers heading to the Ward Radio merch storeA failed language. **Exclusive.** We walked the actual studio where *Brother Joseph Again* was built — black walls, plaster busts, death masks, and a replica of the Smith-Larson daguerreotype locket the Church now owns.Joseph Smith is the only latter-day Church president with **no confirmed photograph**. For 182 years the face has been paintings, a death mask, and arguments. These filmmakers say they can finally answer what he looked like.Patrick Bishop (history), Joseph Rickey (forensics), and director Daelynn walk us through:- Why the Church itself kept asking “what did Joseph really look like?”- Rogers vs. Maudsley vs. the death mask — the contraries- John Taylor’s bust… and the later letter that said it was *nothing* like Joseph- Why a family locket stayed hidden for 40 years (jewelry, not a parlor portrait)- Why it isn’t Hyrum (no mole, no sideburns, wrong lip length)- Skull → death mask → 3D reconstruction → overlay on the daguerreotype- The Scannel image they studied for 10 years and still won’t fully kill- Scenes they cut: family likenesses, Hallmark stamps, a 2:30 a.m. “I cannot be an imbecile” momentCardon stays skeptical. This is a **touchy** conversation. Treat it that way.Latter-day Saints believe we have a Mother in Heaven. That part is real. What is *not* revealed is whether she is the Holy Ghost, whether there is one Mother or many, or how the Godhead is structured beyond what the scriptures already say.We are speculating. We say that out loud.In this episode:- Kwaku’s case: divine wisdom / Sophia / feminine Spirit- The problem: the Holy Ghost is spoken of as “he” in scripture- President Oaks: “Heavenly Mother or Mothers” — we don’t know- Chris Blythe’s two practical rules from current Church culture: 1. Don’t teach that Heavenly Mother *is* the Holy Ghost 2. Don’t publicly pray to Heavenly Mother- A 1843 Franklin D. Richards note that the Holy Ghost is “in a state of probation” — contested, not canon- Elohim as plural, justice and mercy, masculine and feminine- The Monad, graduated intelligences, and why infinite-regress god-chains get ugly- Why stuffing Heavenly Mother into the Godhead to “give her a seat” may be the wrong instinct**Guardrails first.** Unity in the essentials. Liberty in the non-essentials. Reverence the whole way down. This is not a declaration of doctrine. Before *A New Hope*, George Lucas wrote **five complete scripts**. They are not the movie you know...In the early drafts:- The heroes weren’t Jedi. They were the **Dai Nogas**- The Force was the **Force of Others** — split into **Ashla** (good) and **Bogan** (evil)- A holy man called **the Skywalker** found the Force and trusted it to his **12 children**- Those children became the Jedi Bendu — *servants* of the Force- A padawan named **Darklightner** fell, taught Sith pirates, and the light went extinct- Draft 2 has Luke kill Darth Vader in a **five-minute duel on top of the Death Star**- Draft 3 opens with a fake scripture: *“In the time of greatest despair there shall come a savior… the son of the suns.”*Reid Moon owns all five drafts.
