On Halloween night all manner of creatures walk the streets, some are ghosts from years past, while others are flesh and blood of the sinister kind. Three members of a local gang, Bacon-Boy, Dove, and Sweet Pea are tasked with liberating a harpsichord from a fancy mansion when they learn that payback for the death of a former compatriot is also on the table.

The hunt for the mysterious Blond Man continues as the investigators work on Dr. Gravedust amidst rising concerns. Knowledge is shared and secrets are revealed as they come together.

After their recent encounter with Lunar scouts, the group decides to press forward through a tight and rocky area call "the squeeze" after nightfall, in hopes of evading further patrols as they draw closer to Apple Lane.
