Dr. Janet Armentor: Professor and Chair of the Sociology Department at CSU Bakersfield

In this episode, we talk about Makayla's pilot study on college students' experiences with online schooling during COVID-19. We also chat about her internship experience with the Kern Literacy Council as an online tutor. Lastly, we talk about her current position as a child and family specialist and what it's like to be on the job.

Their research investigates the experiences of individuals when they leave the organization through voluntary or involuntary exit. Some ideas and concepts of the study include social death, total institutions, resocialization, mortification of the self, and reprogramming of the self.
