Dr Alex George’s road to embracing ADHD, mental health and life beyond Love Island

Dr Alex George literally shows us his humble village routes around gorgeous Carmarthenshire in southern Wales and how his rural lifestyle and love of sport shaped him into the successful influencer he is today. Dr Alex explains how he harnessed the fame found on Love Island to become a mental health champion and the UK’s first Youth Mental Health Ambassador. Travelling around in a Land Rover Defender 90, Dr Alex takes us from the town of Carmarthen to several places including the remote setting of his old family home and former schools, one of which is now derelict and abandoned. Being diagnosed with ADHD just a few years ago, the rivers, valleys and locations evoke vivid memories and stories which leave Dr Alex wondering how different life would have been if he had been diagnosed with ADHD earlier.  He also opens up about the loss of his brother and how he’s using his experiences to benefit others. Ending at the local hospital - another significant and inspiring place for him - Dr Alex also shares with us his key ingredients to living a happy life. Racing driver Billy Monger enjoys the passenger seat for once, as he journeys with Alex Legouix through Sussex and Surrey in a Toyota C-HR GR Sport. It’s a first for Show on the Road as we take a married couple out for a drive. Heavily pregnant Caitlin Sheil and Leah Joseph join us for a ride in a VW Camper van around Ilford and Chigwell, to the east of London. They reveal how their TikTok careers blossomed and its impact on their lives.
