Four months have passed since a jury acquitted Karen Read for the murder of Boston police officer John O’Keefe. Some involved in the three-year saga have seen their reputations permanently tarnished. Others are riding the case’s notoriety to newfound fame and monetary rewards. The obvious question remains: if Karen Read didn’t kill John O’Keefe, who did? Scrutiny has swung from the accused to the accusers: the Canton Police Department, Massachusetts State Police and Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
