Welcome (back) to Wednesday Q&A, where you ask questions and we answer them!

In this episode, Lara and Kristin answer your questions about aging pains, bone density training, and healing Morton's neuroma.

Your questions:

  • So happy the podcast is back. I have a question or more of an observation: I noticed more nerve pinching or small muscle tears recently, it never stays long. I move, I swim, I run, and it goes away. This is new for my (50 year old) body. My students also complain regularly (sciatica or other nerve or muscle pains … those who train a lot as athletes do always have something!) Is it only me? Or is there any biomechanical reason that as we age we tend to experience small pains? Any thoughts on this? how to avoid them? PS: now I understand and sympathize with people complaining and understand better why it is so easy to “fall into this decline narrative” … I noticed seniors, menopausal women, or athletes are the population complaining the most about small and most of the time temporary discomfort. With love and lots of good vibes to this new podcast series.
  • My question is in reference to jumping to increase bone density. LYT has always emphasized a soft landing. Now research shows that landing with force stimulates the body to build bone. Are both necessary in different situations?
  • How to heal Morton's Neuroma?
