Exploring C. S. Lewis' "What Are We to Make for Jesus Christ?" - a chapter he wrote in 1950 in a book for young people (Asking Them Questions). Here Lewis expands his famous argument from Mere Christianity, evaluating the historical Jesus and arguing that he could not have been either a Liar or a Lunatic, and, therefore, must be who he said he was: Lord. In this chapter, Lewis explores whether Jesus could have simply been a legend that grew among his followers. His answer, again, is "No, therefore, Jesus must be Lord." Exploring C. S. Lewis' 1945 essay "Talking About Bicycles" with Daniel Payne from the Lamp-Post Listener podcast. As he talks about bicycles, Lewis points out that there seem to be 4 stages to being enchanted by something wonderful. First, before we've been enchanted and know nothing of it - this, he calls "unenchantment." Second, when we first become enchanted by something wonderful - "enchantment". Third, when we become disillusioned by the thing. This is "disenchantment." Fourth, when we, fully accepting of the things limitations, become "re-enchanted" by how wonderful it really is.
