Sermon - The Wisdom of God

On September 20th, 2026 Kris challenged us to move beyond simply following principles and learn what it means to be led by the presence of God. What happens when following Jesus doesn’t fit neatly into our understanding of right and wrong? And have we sometimes made God easier to understand by interpreting Scripture through our own experiences, culture, and assumptions? Through the lives of Daniel, Esther, Peter, and even the leadership of Jesus Himself, Kris explores the tension between biblical principles and an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught principles, but He ultimately lived by what He saw the Father doing. Discover why knowing the Bible is meant to lead us into relationship with its Author. Walking with God requires faith, discernment, intimacy, and the courage to follow Him even when we don’t fully understand. In this message from September 13th, 2026, Kris Vallotton challenges the Church to think bigger, live with a royal identity, and embrace Jesus’ commission to disciple nations. What would change if we stopped building only for our lifetime and started laying foundations for generations we may never meet? What if God is calling us to build something that will still be transforming the world hundreds of years from now? Through the stories of Moses, Abraham, the early Church, and the builders of historic cathedrals, Kris explores what it means to become a “master builder.” Someone willing to lay a foundation that others will build upon. Discover why thinking like royalty, embracing legacy, and letting go of what worked in a previous season may be essential for where God is taking us next. We aren’t just building for today—we’re building for generations to come. On August 30th, Kris shared a powerful message challenging believers to stop reducing God to the size of their own experiences and to begin living with a greater revelation of His power, majesty, and authority. What if the resistance you’re facing isn’t evidence that something has gone wrong? What if it’s actually a sign that you’re stepping into the territory God has called you to possess? Kris shares stories from the early days of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and unpacks what it looks like to live with an expectation for signs, wonders, miracles, and the supernatural power of God. Discover what it means to serve the God of the universe, refuse to allow fear to define your future, recognize spiritual resistance without becoming consumed by it, and trust that the God who calls you is also the God who protects you. You were never created to build your life around your fears, you were created to walk by faith, confront the giants in your promised land, and experience the power of God in your life. In this sermon, Kris continues his series on Bethel’s family distinctions by unpacking how what we believe about the end times shapes how we live today. Are we waiting for the world to fall apart, or are we called to help rebuild it? Are we preparing to escape, or are we taking responsibility for the cities and nations God has placed around us? Kris challenges us to rethink an end-times theology rooted in fear and instead embrace a Kingdom perspective filled with hope, responsibility, and purpose. From Abraham’s call to father nations to Jesus’ command to disciple nations, discover why believers are called to bring light into darkness, rebuild broken places, and carry the hope of Jesus into every sphere of society. On June 28th, 2026, Kris continued his series on Bethel’s family distinctions, exploring what it means to be equipped, sent, and empowered to transform the world around us. Is church meant to simply gather believers, or is it meant to train and deploy them? Are we called to consume ministry, or to carry the Kingdom wherever we go? In this message, Kris unpacks the purpose of the fivefold ministry, the difference between a pastoral and apostolic culture, and why every believer is called to full-time ministry. Discover how God’s heart has always been to equip His people to disciple nations, carry His presence beyond the church walls, and become a life-giving river that brings transformation wherever it flows.
