9/26 6AM: The White Sox & Cubs Are Both Playoff Bound! Chitown Stand Up!!!!

Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed the White Sox and the Cubs both won their games Thursday, securing a playoff berth for each of the Chicago teams. The White Sox clinched a playoff spot with a 9-1 rout of the Royals after back-to-back 100-loss seasons.  They could still win the AL Central, too. The White Sox began the day one game behind the Cleveland Guardians. Pete Crow-Armstrong joined the 40-40 club by stealing his 40th base to go along with his major league-leading 45 home runs, and the Chicago Cubs clinched their second straight postseason berth a 2-1 victory over the Miami Marlins on Thursday.

Hour 3: Kap & J. Hood played Shot or No Shot, took a trip Around The NFL and the Kap & J. Hood Cut of The Day. 

Hour 2: Former Chicago Bears Super Bowl Champion and Bears radio analyst Tom Thayer joined Kap & J. Hood with the latest updates on the Chicago Bears season. Kap & J. Hood discussed the Bears still are not ruling Caleb out for Monday, but Case Keenum was the QB who practiced and spoke. Ben Johnson really sung his praises at the podium. What chances do you give the Bears Monday with Keenum?  Practice windows open for both Shemar Turner and Noah Sewell, but not Kyler Gordon. I'm at a firm with zero games played for Kyler at this point.

Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed the White Sox and Cubs both had a chance to clinch a postseason berth tonight, but the White Sox lost to the Royals after their pitching imploded early last night. Hudson only got one out as the opener, and the Sox never fully clawed back from a 4-0 early deficit. They will likely clinch this week, whether they do it themselves or Houston loses games, but it feels a bit like the magic has run out. The Cubs hopefully will get another walk-off win, but the good news there is that Philly lost, so at least they won't fall to the bottom, and hopefully the Dodgers can beat SD, so everyone keeps pace. Still, handle your own business and clinch!

Hour 3: Kap & J. Hood played Shot or No Shot, took a trip Around The NFL and the Kap & J. Hood Cut of The Day.

Hour 2: Former Chicago Bears Wide Receiver and afternoon radio co-host ESPN Chicago Tom Waddle joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears vs Eagles.  Kap & J. Hood discussed the White Sox bats exploded tonight to the tune of 14 runs and counting to keep pace with Cleveland and at least maintain their lead over Houston. This is a great sign of what they can be next week when the calendar turns to the Postseason, and I think we'd be silly to write them off as an early exit. What is the ceiling for this Sox team when they hit?

Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed next man up gets another man... Tyson Bagent is in the league's concussion protocol, and as of right now Case Keenum is in line to start on Monday Night Football... I don't have a big reaction to this, because I don't think the Bears chances to win Monday change much going from Bagent to Keenum.  Ian Rapaport reported that Caleb will miss 2-4 weeks with his hamstring injury, but the Bears are still resisting officially ruling him out on Monday. Would you even want him to play if he were cleared? Shouldn't the Bears be extra cautious with this?

Hour 3: NFL Insider for SI.com Albert Breer joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears and the latest NFL storylines.  Kap & J. Hood played Shot or No Shot, took a trip Around The NFL and the Kap & J. Hood Cut of The Day. 

Hour 2: MLB Insider ESPN Jesse Rogers joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the White Sox, Cubs and the latest MLB storylines.  Kap & J. Hood discussed the final week of MLB and the White Sox & Cubs both could make the playoffs this season.  Kap & J. Hood gave their starting pitching lineups for the White Sox & Cubs potential playoff run. 

Hour 1: Kap & J. Hood discussed the Bears getting the best possible news on Caleb's injury, and the reaction nationally has been to make fun of him for not being tough and being carted off the field with a grade 1 hamstring injury. Do you find this to be a bizarre reaction from fans, personally, but fans are going to fan?   With the Caleb news trending positive, are we more On To Philadelphia and the result from the Vikings game goes in the garbage, or are there new concerns about this team going forward?
