An anesthesiologist on trial for attempted murder took the stand in his own defense Thursday. 40-year-old Stephen Brown was denied bail today after police say he killed his wife and fled the scene. 38-year-old Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was found dead in her home after a friend asked police for a wellness check. Bowen was a beloved politician who was reportedly about to announce a run for higher office. 27-year-old Dayton Webber had his first court appearance after police say he shot and killed his friend and passenger while driving.
