Episode 244: Instant Reaction to the NBA Draft Lottery

Despite the sadness surrounding the Milwaukee Bucks shipping off their greatest player in franchise history, there is still plenty to be excited about with the young core of players now in Milwaukee. Jack, Finn, and Jackson return to break down what exactly the Bucks got in the Giannis trade, and who they’re most excited to see this season.They go over the Bucks' two draft picks, Brayden Burris and Nate Ament, and maybe where they would’ve gone differently at 13 if they were in the GM’s chair.

It's hard to believe it's already been almost two weeks since the Milwaukee Bucks traded their franchise icon, Giannis Antetokounmpo, to the Miami Heat. Jack, Finn, and Jackson got together to memorialize Giannis' time in the Cream City and reminisce about their favorite moments from the Greek Freak. They also break down what could've been over the last several years with Giannis and what went wrong that led up to this point.

After breaking down the first wave of draft prospects last time, Jack and Finn are running back! They go through a whole new slew of draft prospects, including Cam Carr from Baylor, Morez Johnson from Michigan, and several others. Then later on, they go down a rabbit hole of discussing UConn head coach Dan Hurley and how it was probably the right decision for him to stay in college, rather than attempt an NBA coaching gig.

As we reach closer to the NBA Draft, our draftniks in Jack Trehearne, Finn Kuehl, and, for the first time ever, Deolu Akingbade came together. They broke down several of the biggest names in the draft and who might fit with the Bucks at pick no. 10.

A familiar face is back in Milwaukee to lead the Bucks, and his name is Taylor Jenkins. Now that the team has made it official, Jack and Van are here to break down the hire and what it means for the Bucks going into 2026.

The long season of suffering is over, so Kyle and Jack recap AJ Green's record-breaking games and the emergence of Cormac Ryan. Then they have a lengthy discussion on Doc Rivers' departure as Head Coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. They talk about how his hiring was doomed to fail, the many faults during his tenure, and how he created a toxic environment. The Bucks are on the brink of elimination, which means lifeless performances. Kyle and Jack meet to discuss the positive showings against the Cavaliers and Suns, but the dreadful showings against the Utah Jazz and LA Clippers. They discuss how the tank is on, and everybody is ready for the offseason. The two call out the hypocrisy of the NBA Players Association being upset with Giannis not playing for the Bucks, citing tanking concerns, Wes Edens' statement on Giannis' future, and go through Cam Thomas being cut and Pete Nance getting his two-way contract converted.
