206: What Your Period Is Telling You Before Pregnancy: Why Irregular Bleeding Shouldn't Be Ignored with Robyn Srigley
Have you ever looked at your period and wondered, "Is this normal?" Maybe your bleeding drags on longer than you'd like, or you notice spotting days before your period starts and aren't sure what it means. Your cycle is always talking to you, and today we're going to learn how to listen. I'm joined by the wonderful Robyn Srigley, a cycle guide and fertility nutritionist who was diagnosed with PCOS herself and went on to reverse her symptoms naturally and conceive her two sons.
In this episode, Robyn explains what a healthy period actually looks like and why bleeding that lasts too long is a red flag. She walks us through the possible causes, from ovulation issues and PCOS to fibroids, polyps and thyroid problems. She also shares which blood tests to ask your doctor about if your periods are heavy and painful, why spotting is common but not normal, and the surprising truth about implantation spotting and much more! Grab your tea, get cozy, and let's get into it.
