In the first week of March, RSR had the pleasure of hosting students from the Association of Foreign Affairs at Lund University (UPF) during their visit to Estonia. During the exchange, we had the chance to sit down with two UPF members for a discussion about Sweden, Estonia, and NordicâBaltic cooperation.
In this episode, we reflect on the exchange and share what we learned from meetings with various NGOs, institutions, and workshops throughout the week. We also discuss some of the broader themes that emerged during the visit, including Swedenâs decision to end 200 years of neutrality and join NATO, how âNordicâ Estonia really is, and the presence of Swedish companies in Estonia.
The discussion features Paula and Sabina from UPF, and Karl Andreas and Liisbet from RSR, with audio editing by Orlando.

This episode is part of a joint project under the Erasmus+ Small-Scale Partnerships in Youth programme between the Tartu Association of International Relations (RSR) and the Utrikespolitiska Föreningen â the Association of Foreign Affairs at Lund University (UPF), titled âNordic-Baltic Youth Knowledge Exchangeâ.
The project aims to build lasting academic and professional networks between students in Tartu and Lund, encourage dialogue between Nordic and Baltic youth, and explore key foreign and security policy issues relevant to Nordic-Baltic cooperation.
