I used to worship breakfast like it was my religion. I'd set multiple alarms to make sure I ate within minutes of waking up, weighing out my oats and egg whites like my life depended on it. I genuinely believed that skipping breakfast would tank my metabolism and destroy my muscle mass. I was living a complete lie.
All that forced morning eating was actually sabotaging my energy and keeping me trapped in a vicious cycle of insulin spikes, mid-morning crashes, and constant cravings. I was eating because the clock told me to, not because my body needed it, and I felt sluggish and inflamed every single day.
The day I finally questioned the breakfast myth and started extending my overnight fast, everything shifted. My energy soared, my mind became laser-sharp, and I discovered what it actually felt like to burn stored fat instead of constantly feeding my body sugar.
It's not about starving yourself - it's about giving your body the space it desperately needs to reset, repair, and recharge. When you stop force-feeding yourself first thing in the morning, you unlock a level of metabolic freedom most people never experience.
