The Church is seen as God’s house, a bridge between us and heaven, much like Jacob’s vision: a ladder connecting earth and heaven, with angels ascending and descending. Caring for this sacred place requires dedication, but it brings blessings and a closeness to God. Abel’s example shows us that true sacrifice means offering God what we hold most precious, not what costs us little. This is why his sacrifice “still speaks”: it reminds us that a heartfelt offering has lasting value. Gaudí, in his work on the Sagrada Família, also conveyed the idea that building God’s house is a continuous project, carried forward by each generation. Every prayer, every act of care, and every sacrifice contributes to a larger work, one that brings us closer to God.

La Chiesa è vista come la casa di Dio, un ponte tra noi e il cielo, proprio come nella visione di Giacobbe: una scala tra terra e cielo, attraversata dagli angeli. Prendersi cura di questo luogo sacro richiede dedizione, ma porta benedizioni e vicinanza con Dio. L’esempio di Abele ci mostra che il vero sacrificio è offrire a Dio ciò che abbiamo di più prezioso, non quello che ci costa poco. Per questo il suo sacrificio “parla ancora”: ci ricorda che un’offerta fatta con cuore sincero ha un valore che dura nel tempo. Anche Gaudí, lavorando alla Sagrada Família, ha trasmesso l’idea che costruire la casa di Dio è un progetto continuo, portato avanti da generazione in generazione. Ogni preghiera, ogni gesto di cura e ogni sacrificio contribuiscono a un’opera più grande, capace di avvicinarci a Dio.

Viviamo in una cultura super focalizzata sull'“Io”, dove tutto gira intorno a quello che vogliamo per noi stessi. Questo modo di pensare è completamente opposto a quello che insegna la Bibbia. In Romani 14, ad esempio, si legge che nessuno vive o muore per sé stesso, ma per il Signore. La nostra vita dovrebbe essere per Lui, non per soddisfare solo noi stessi. Costruire qualcosa di più grande di noi richiede fede e sacrificio. Gesù ci ha chiamati a prendere la nostra croce, non a metterci comodi. Ogni sacrificio che facciamo ha un peso, niente va sprecato. La Bibbia ci assicura che la nostra fatica non è mai vana: quando viviamo per uno scopo più grande, il nostro impegno viene visto e ripagato. È questo che ci motiva ad andare oltre i nostri bisogni immediati. Prendiamo l’esempio di Abramo: per fede era pronto a sacrificare suo figlio Isacco, credendo che Dio avrebbe comunque mantenuto le sue promesse. Abramo era così sicuro della potenza di Dio da sapere che nulla sarebbe andato perduto, nemmeno quel sacrificio enorme. La verità è che, se siamo pronti a dare a Dio senza paura di perdere troppo, scopriremo che Lui provvede sempre. C'è anche l’esempio della vedova nel Vangelo di Marco, che dà tutto quello che ha, per quanto piccolo. Mentre tutti davano del loro superfluo, lei ha dato tutto. Gesù ha notato quel sacrificio perché il cuore con cui aveva dato valeva più di qualsiasi ricchezza. Alla fine, quando mettiamo il nostro sacrificio all'altare con fede, entriamo nella provvidenza di Dio. Non si tratta di quanto diamo, ma di quanto siamo disposti a fidarci di Lui con tutto quello che abbiamo.

We live in a culture that’s so focused on the “me”—what I want, what I can get out of things. This self-centered mindset is totally opposite to what the Bible teaches. In Romans 14, for example, it says that none of us lives or dies just for ourselves, but for the Lord. Our lives are meant to be lived for Him, not just to satisfy our own wants. Building something bigger than ourselves requires faith and sacrifice. Jesus called us to take up our cross, not to get comfortable. Every sacrifice we make has meaning—none of it goes unnoticed. The Bible tells us that our work is never in vain; when we live for a higher purpose, our efforts are seen and rewarded. That’s what pushes us to go beyond just meeting our own needs. Look at Abraham’s example: by faith, he was ready to sacrifice his son Isaac, believing God would still keep His promises. Abraham was so sure of God’s power that he trusted nothing would truly be lost, even with a sacrifice that big. The truth is, if we’re willing to give to God without worrying about losing too much, we’ll find that He always provides. Then there’s the example of the widow in the Gospel of Mark. She gave everything she had, even though it was just a little. While others gave from their surplus, she gave all she had. Jesus noticed that sacrifice because the heart behind it meant more than any amount of money. In the end, when we lay our sacrifice at the altar with faith, we step into God’s provision. It’s not about how much we give, but how much we’re willing to trust Him with everything we have.

A spiritual legacy is about what we leave for future generations. Living for a purpose beyond ourselves—like Noah building the ark—means creating something that will endure. Despite challenges, having a spiritual vision brings clarity and purpose. Building a spiritual legacy requires foresight, faith in God, and a selfless commitment to others. Spiritual legacy builders focus on the common good, love unconditionally, and keep their eyes on God, knowing that this commitment will be rewarded.

L'eredità spirituale riguarda ciò che lasciamo per le generazioni future. Vivere per un obiettivo più grande di noi stessi, come Noè che costruì l'arca, significa creare qualcosa che duri. Nonostante le difficoltà, avere una visione spirituale porta chiarezza e senso di scopo. Costruire un’eredità spirituale richiede lungimiranza, fede nel Signore e un impegno altruista verso gli altri. I costruttori di eredità spirituale si concentrano sul bene comune, amano senza condizioni e mantengono la propria attenzione su Dio, sapendo che questo impegno verrà ricompensato.

Altri segni che dimostrano di essere sotto le benedizioni di Dio includono: 1. Pace incrollabile: anche in mezzo alle difficoltà, si sperimenta una pace che supera la comprensione umana. 2. Provvidenza divina: Dio provvede ai nostri bisogni esattamente nel momento giusto. 3. Favori immeritati: si sperimentano opportunità e successi che vanno oltre le proprie capacità. 4. Frutto spirituale: si nota crescita spirituale e influenza positiva sugli altri. 5. Saggezza e comprensione spirituale: si acquisisce una maggiore conoscenza della volontà di Dio. 6. Protezione divina: anche le battute d’arresto possono essere segni della protezione di Dio. 7. Gioia e contentezza: si prova gioia profonda, indipendentemente dalle circostanze. Le benedizioni di Dio sono segnali della Sua presenza costante nella nostra vita, che ci guida e protegge.

God’s blessings are not limited to material wealth but also include spiritual, emotional, and relational aspects. In Deuteronomy 28, God promises blessings to those who obey His commandments, such as prosperity in cities and fields, and protection from enemies. Other signs that show you are under God’s blessings include: 1. Unshakable peace: Even in difficult times, you experience a peace that surpasses human understanding. 2. Divine providence: God provides exactly what you need, when you need it. 3. Undeserved favor: You experience opportunities and success that go beyond your abilities. 4. Spiritual fruitfulness: You see growth in your spiritual life and positively influence others. 5. Wisdom and spiritual understanding: You gain deeper knowledge of God’s will for your life. 6. Divine protection: Even setbacks can be signs of God’s protection and guidance. 7. Joy and contentment: You feel deep joy regardless of external circumstances. God’s blessings are signs of His constant presence in your life, guiding and protecting you.
