Over the last several hundred years there has been a profound shift toward what many social commentators have described as a radical individualism. A pervasive cultural ethos such as this can’t help but form followers of Jesus. As a result, there is a strong undercurrent threatening to tear us away from real commitment to a community of believers. From the very beginning, we have been invited by Jesus to do life together as the family of God—to pledge ultimate allegiance to Jesus and to the new family He is nurturing in this world. The practical question arises: How do we live as the family of God? What skills, attitudes and postures of the heart are required? Life Together is a teaching series designed to answer those questions. Over the course of eight weeks, our teaching time will describe in practical detail what is required to live as the family of God in a world that is so enamoured with the whims of the individual, with freedom from commitment, with a consumeristic, me-first mindset and, instead, embrace the radical invitation of Jesus to follow him wholeheartedly TOGETHER, as members of his family, in this fractured world.The Way Church is a church in Vancouver joining Jesus in the restoration of all things.
