Join me as I sit down with Deirdra Burley to discuss cancel culture in education. She is a Sophomore at Chapman University majoring in strategic and corporate communication with a minor in political science. Burley's passion for politics originated in middle school, but her involvement in politics began when she experienced the impact of cancel culture for being conservative:
"After going through a long battle, fighting students and administration for months, I have only become more vocal in my beliefs. Since the start of college, I have interned for the Lincoln Club Institute in Orange County and am currently interning for Congressman Ken Calvert in Corona. My experience has shown me that I belong in politics, and I hope sharing my message will push other students to want to share their stories too. The more we speak up, the stronger we are when fighting the far left."
