Attorney Tony Buzbee, known for representing over 100 alleged victims in sexual assault lawsuits against Sean "Diddy" Combs, has encountered a significant legal hurdle. The Committee on Grievances for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) recently denied his application for admission to practice in the district, citing his failure to seek proper admission before appearing in cases within its jurisdiction. This decision restricts Buzbee from litigating in the SDNY, which encompasses key areas including New York City's five boroughs.

In response, Buzbee has indicated plans to seek "pro hac vice" admission, a legal provision allowing attorneys not licensed in a specific jurisdiction to practice temporarily for particular cases, contingent upon court approval. This process requires him to attach the denial order to each request for admission moving forward. Despite this setback, Buzbee maintains that he is licensed to practice law in New York State and remains committed to his ongoing cases.
