Episode 21 - Pricing Flowers for Weddings and Events, how long is a piece of String?

Today I wanted to open up the conversation surrounding pricing flowers for Weddings and Events. I know this can be a tricky area to navigate for us as florists and whilst I absolutely do not have all the answers, I thought it would be good to have a chat about all the outside factors that can come into play when quoting for weddings and events. As well as why I think we sometimes come up against the challenge of loosing out on jobs due to the client/couple having had a 'more competitive' quote. I hope you enjoy the episode. Today I am chatting with Amanda Wallace who is head of PR and Media at Thrive. A charity that uses gardening to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable. As I'm sure you know by now I am a huge champion when it comes to using British flowers, I absolutely adore them! However I would be lying if I said that as a business I didn't also need to use imported flowers too. Today I am thrilled to be talking to the incredible Sophie from U.FL.O (Unidentified Floral Object). All about how to stand out in the crowd. The floristry industry is often described as a saturated market and whilst I would probably tend to agree that this is true. How can we stand out and make ourselves and our business more visable?
