Hello Serie A fan, after a brief Scudetto sabbatical, we return to find that Serie A has apparently misplaced its handbrake.
Napoli finally stop the bleeding against Bologna, although Allegri’s stress levels remain dangerously high. Juventus turn Sassuolo away into a late-game public-safety announcement. Atalanta dominate, concede, and continue the awkward business of teaching a Gasperini-built squad some Sarri grammar. Milan donate a half to Lazio, then send Diego Moreira on to retrieve it.
By the lake, Como put four past Leipzig. Inter make Real Madrid work. Roma take a useful point from Istanbul. And Arsenal remind Napoli that European redemption arcs require an attack.
Plus: Good Week / Bad Week, honourable and dishonourable mentions, Italian football’s ongoing war on boring calcio, and enough managers, returns and resignations to make the recycling bin feel like a tactical innovation.
