110 - The Lost Weekend

Al and Joe recap episode 112 of Riverdale, "The Anatomy of a Murder".

Al and Joe are back and jonesing to talk about Riverdale episode 111, "To Riverdale and Back Again" after an unexpected hiatus last week.  Joe has a touch of the flu, our audio upgrade didn't entirely go as planned, but hopefully our content and listener contributions will overcome some of the quality issues.  We'll bounce back better next week, as the epic first season of Riverdale enters it's end game with the penultimate episode.

Al and Joe feel for poor Jughead, as his friends throw him an ill advised party that turns in to an old fashioned rager, spiraling out of control. There are horses, and pigs, and a wild Veronchie appears out of nowhere!  Things get out of hand, is what I'm saying. Which kind of sounds like our podcasts of late. We do some soul searching and naval gazing and vow to come back next week even better.

Al and Joe go over the twists and turns of the Blossom annual family fun fest, and the increasing tensions between Fred and Hermione among other things.  Also, Al gives back to the fans, and finds himself embroiled in a podcasting scandal over his predictions segment. IRL DRAMA!!

Veronica and Hermione hatch a Grandparent Trap, Archie provides man power to his dad's ailing business, while Jughead and Betty get a little closer.  Meanwhile our fans brew up some theories regarding donated eggs and jealous mothers.  Al's predicting a Blossom Fest next episode, we'll see how it all pans out!

Polly is on the run and the Blossoms want to hunt her like a frightened pregnant fox she is.  Jughead's dad is the worst.  Victoria wages a cold war against her mom.  Al and Joe consider these plots from Riverdale "Chapter 7: In a Lonely Place", plus a hot new werewolf theory from a fellow fan!  More hints to an Afterlife with Archie season two? Yes, please!

Al and Joe dive headfirst into another week of crazy on CW's Riverdale,  breaking down "Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats!  Kill! Kill!".  Friendships and singing careers are destroyed, teenagers are institutionalized for reproducing, and cars full of evidence are BBQ'd, and for what?  We're not sure, but it sure is fun and entertaining.  Al makes some bold predictions, and we respond to another podcast calling us out.  All this plus listener feedback!

Al and Joe continue to investigate Riverdale's mysterious death and intrigue.  This week we sense some disturbing behavior on the part of the Blossom and Cooper family, and start to piece together the big picture of the rot that's at the "Heart of Darkness" of the little town of Riverdale.
