Nextech3D.ai CEO Evan Gappelberg talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the early launch of the company’s blockchain ticketing solution and how it aligns with its broader event technology strategy.
Gappelberg explained that the initiative builds on Nextech3D.ai’s recent Eventdex acquisition and its AI-powered event suite. He said: “It really adds transparency, eliminates fraud, opens up new revenue streams through the resale and royalties of tickets.”
The Ethereum-based platform is designed to support global events, especially blockchain-focused ones, by enabling borderless ticketing capabilities. Gappelberg emphasised that this technology is not just a milestone, but a “revenue accelerator” for the company.
Looking ahead, Nextech3D.ai is already exploring expansion beyond ticketing to areas such as credentials for continuing education and asset verification. The company is also quoting large AI matchmaking deals and sees potential to generate between $5 million and $10 million in blockchain-related revenue from 2026 onwards.
Despite the focus on blockchain, Gappelberg highlighted that the business remains diversified, running over 500 events annually. The company continues to upsell services such as white-label apps, AI matchmaking, and ticketing to increase average order values.
Gappelberg also mentioned that new 3D modelling and event contracts are expected to be announced within the next 30 to 60 days.
