Deathbed Conversions with Jesse Romero.

A continued discussion on perfect contrition leading into the death penalty with Jesse Romero, former Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff. p/c Mel Melcon/Los Angeles Times.

Today Jesse and I discuss why grace is necessary on the death bed to be saved, either via the sacraments (preferred) or perfect contrition (when there is no priest nearby.) Jesse describes an impenitent priest dying of AIDS who he convinced to go to confession at the 11th hour.
