Is the customer always right? No..... But they're not always wrong either. Let's talk about why arguing with customers over principle usually costs you more than it's worth. Most people aren't trying to scam you, they just want the problem fixed. When something goes wrong, your job as a business owner is to listen, resolve the issue, and look for the lesson. Was there a breakdown in process? Were expectations unclear? Were there warning signs you ignored? Yes, there will always be a small percentage of bad actors, but don't let the few ruin how you treat the many. Strong businesses don't fight customers… they learn, fix, and move forward. And how you handle the problem matters just as much as the problem itself.

I was exposed to business numbers long before I ever owned a business. Profit & Loss statements, sales trends, inventory, expenses, just to name a few. These were normal conversations in my world growing up. And when I became a small business owner, that knowledge became my secret weapon. But as I started meeting other small business owners, I realized something big: they WANTED to understand their numbers… they just didn't know where to start. Today, I share my journey with the P&L and why it quickly became my #1 tool for growing a profitable business. The truth is, small business P&Ls aren't that different from big business P&Ls and small businesses have far more in common than you'd ever imagine. No matter what size your business is, your Profit & Loss statement is the key to understanding your money, increasing your profits, and making smarter decisions.
