In the latest episode of Life in Food with Laura Price, I talk to Pichaya Soontornyanakij, otherwise known as Chef Pam, about Food and Heritage and the story behind her award-winning restaurant Potong. We delve into family history, Thai-Chinese food culture and the ancestral recipes that inspired some of her dishes at Potong in Bangkok's Chinatown. We also discuss Chef Pam's experience of becoming a first-time mother while renovating a century-old building to open a restaurant and balancing parenthood with work. In the run-up to Chinese or Lunar New Year, we also celebrate the Year of the Snake, and find out about Chef Pam's brand new restaurant, Khao San Sek.

About the host: Laura Price is a multilingual journalist who travels the world writing about restaurants.
