IN SPIRIT AND TRUTHNFL Football and Faith: A Team Chaplain’s PerspectiveFeaturing Drake NevisWhat happens when the pressures of professional football meet the demands of faith? On this episode of In Spirit and Truth, Pastor Joseph Clark welcomes Drake Nevis for an insightful conversation about the role of faith, prayer, and spiritual leadership in the world of the NFL. Looking beyond the fame, competition, and intensity of professional football, we explore the importance of ministering to players, building spiritual community, and helping athletes navigate the challenges of life both on and off the field. From the locker room to the football field, discover how faith can provide strength, purpose, and perspective in an environment where performance is everything—but life is about far more than the final score.

Ephesians 2:8 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Psalm 46:1-3 1 God is our refuge and strength,    an ever-present help in trouble.2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way    and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,3 though its waters roar and foam    and the mountains quake with their surging.

Faith, Focus, and the Pursuit of Olympic GoldIn this inspiring episode, Pastor Joseph interviews Olympic medalist Nia Abdalla about balancing her walk of faith with the pursuit of Olympic gold. Nia shares her perspective on the discipline, perseverance, and dedication required to compete at the highest level while keeping Jesus Christ at the centre of her life. Together, they explore the challenges of remaining faithful to God amid the pressures of elite competition, trusting in His plan through victories and setbacks, and using God-given talents to honour Him. This is a powerful conversation about pursuing excellence without compromising your faith, putting God first in every endeavour, and remembering that while the world measures success through medals and achievements, our greatest calling is to glorify God and faithfully walk with Jesus Christ.

Mark 10:13-16 13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

From Death Metal to a Mission for Christ | In Spirit and Truth with Pastor Joseph ClarkIn this powerful episode of In Spirit and Truth, Pastor Joseph Clark interviews Jose, a young man whose life was radically transformed by Jesus Christ. Once immersed in the world of death metal music, Jose encountered the saving grace of Christ and discovered a new purpose that changed the direction of his life. But his transformation didn’t stop there. Out of his newfound faith and passion for the Gospel, Jose went on to establish a Christian mission dedicated to sharing the love and truth of Jesus with others. Hear his remarkable testimony of redemption, the power of the Gospel to transform lives, and what happens when a life once heading in one direction is surrendered to God’s calling. A compelling reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace—and that Christ can turn even the darkest chapters of our lives into a testimony for His glory.

Pastor Joseph interviews Anglican Archbishop Dorian Arthur Baxter about his powerful journey through false accusation, family conflict, forgiveness, and faith. After being falsely accused by his former wife of molesting his own children during a painful and contentious separation, Archbishop Baxter stood firmly in the truth and ultimately proved his innocence. Through this deeply personal experience, he discovered a renewed calling in ministry: to stand with those who have been falsely accused, to seek truth and justice, and to extend the forgiveness and grace that Christ commands us to give—while also establishing wise and necessary boundaries. This is a powerful testimony of trusting God in the midst of injustice, refusing to repay evil with evil, and allowing the Word of God to guide us toward truth, forgiveness, healing, and redemption.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Matthew 5:27-3027 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[e] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
