Growing up adjacent to San Francisco in Daly City, his love of art took him from cartoons, cholo styles, to New York-inspired letters. Dug witnessed the birth of graffiti in the Bay and was a founding member of TMF crew. His crew made history by painting epic productions at legendary yards and also battling Crayone's TWS crew over a clash of styles. As San Francisco became a graffiti destination for writers around the world, Dug advanced his skills and studied in art school. Eventually he made a career doing design work and moved to New York City to cofound Morning Breath, Inc. Although he's not a musician, he's known in the local party scene for spreading good vibes. Growing up in Oakland, Oopz' interest in cannabis and psychedelics led him to adopt the hippie lifestyle and his signature tie-dye outfits. Starting off as a fan of HBK's music, he eventually became friends with Kool John and has been part of Shmop Life ever since. Growing up in Fairfield, his love of hip-hop led him to meet Rick Rock and the other members of the Federation. Stresmatic was able to see hyphy's origins with Mac Dre and Mistah FAB, and helped kick off the movement with The Federation's song "Hyphy." He was also part of E-40's "My Ghetto Report Card" album, and has written and performed hooks for 40, Lil Jon, Snoop Dogg, and many more. Remio is a renowned graffiti artist who has taken his work from the streets into the art world. He's lived and painted all over the world but started writing in Vancouver, Canada. From there he moved to San Francisco after an invitation from Twist. There he started transitioning into gallery shows and professional art opportunities, including several collaborations with Keith Hufnagel of HUF. Shad Viciouz fka Shadow is a founding artist on Woodie's (RIP) East Co Co Records. He grew up seeing his hometown of Antioch turn from a quiet suburb into a gang war zone and became caught in the storm that left some of his friends locked up or dead from gun violence. In high school, Shad and Woodie started recording demo tapes together and developing their rap styles. Shadow became part of Guce's Straight Lace Mob in San Francisco, but eventually reconnected with Woodie to help him start East Co Co. They saw success through the release of the Northern Expozure compilation series, but Shadow was never able to complete his solo album. Heart 101 is one of the most unique graffiti writers to make a mark on the San Francisco scene. Defying style conventions, he pushed the message “Heart Over Capital” as a way to encourage love over money, while also speaking out against oppression in society. Born in Delaware, Heart moved to San Francisco as a teenager and found himself immersed in the hustle of street life. As an openly queer person, he faced hatred, disses, and even physical attacks from homophobic graffiti writers. This only hardened Heart’s determination for survival, and he has continues to live by his own terms and push a message through art. Fate is a dedicated graffiti writer from Los Angeles who also made his mark in the Bay Area. Growing up in the skateboarding and punk rock scenes of SoCal, he got into graffiti as a teenager and eventually joined the legendary crews MSK and AWR. After moving to San Francisco, Fate brought the LA mentality to the city and sought after hard-to-reach spots. He was a good friend of Tie (RIP) and a mentor to Norm (RIP).
