Most people do not realize that sometimes abortion procedures fail, are stopped, or reversed (abortion pill), and survivors EXIST. In fact, it was found that there were 1,734 abortion survivors in the U.S. alone in 2020 (and probably more). When faced with an unexpected pregnancy, the pro-life movement encourages women and families to seek life-affirming resources that don’t include abortion. Some life-affirming resources for parents that are unable to raise their child include Safe Havens, foster care, and adoption. While reforms are needed to better the foster care and adoption systems, these programs are still helping families who want to have children become parents and – most importantly – giving the chance for preborn babies to experience life.      On today's episode, Kristan Hawkins sits down with Dr. Jacqueline Brown who is a clinical psychologist turned Christian fiction writer. As a psychologist, she specialized in working with women and girls who experienced trauma and entanglement with the criminal and juvenile justice systems. She is a wife and mother of three beautiful children. Recently, voters in Ohio approved a ballot referendum, Issue 1, which will enshrine the “right to abortion” through all nine months for any reason in their state constitution. Ohio is now another state that has fallen victim to well-funded misinformation campaigns. Passing with a 57% majority, this result should signal two things for the Pro-Life Movement: 1) The Pro-Life movement’s battle following the reversal of Roe will be a marathon, not a sprint; 2) We still missed the mark in communicating to voters the extremism of the pro-abortion proposal.    On this week's episode, Kristan Hawkins talks with three Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action Employees: Michele Hendrickson, our Strategic Initiatives Director,  Jordan Moorman, our political field coordinator, and Jamie Curry, our Ohio Regional Coordinator.
