We're back! Nothing like Supreme Court justice and an unhinged billionaire fighting for the soul of Brazilian democracy to get Gareth and Larissa back on the metaphorical airwaves. This was recorded just when things kicked off, with X-Twitter getting banned, fines being imposed on those who attempt to circumvent it, and the creation of the verified account Alexandre Files. Since then, a collegiate decision of five Supreme Court justices upheld Moraes's decision and a claim of unconstitutionality has generated quite possibly the first subpoena to a sitting Supreme Court justice. As David Tennant cracks jokes for the BBC about the genocide going on in Brazil due to the mismanagement of the pandemic, a joke that would never have happened about the United States, it becomes obvious that updating our audience with actual data is definitely of the highest order. We talk current numbers, vaccination obstacles, the 4th health minister, the Parliamentary Commission for Inquiry, and the day when Brazil vaccinated 18 million children in one go against polio.
