Hi friends! Today we've got our final discussion of Season 1 of The Institute on MGM+. It has been renewed so we will be back for Season 2 one day in the hopefully not too distant future! In the meantime, in the pipeline this week is a surprise episode discussing our first documentary - Ewan McGregor's Long Way Home (because who doesn't love Ewan McGregor). And then we will drop our discussion on the final half of Season 2 of Wednesday. But more than anything, we are most excited to be returning soon to our usual format of one episode a week, spanning the whole season of a show - and that show will be announced soon!

Hi friends! Just dropping a bonus episode for our summer series today - decided to do a quick discussion of Episodes 5 & 6 of The Institute on MGM+ since we're enjoying it so much. We will be back in the next few weeks with a discussion on the final episodes of The Institute, and another episode discussing the back half of Wednesday (on Netflix) in the next month. And then, come October-ish, we will return to our usual format of weekly discussions of single episodes of a single new show. Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer in the meantime!

Hi friends!! We are back today with another show from our Summer Series - intended to be a little less time consuming since we're all so busy this summer. Today we're discussing the first half of Wednesday, which dropped on Netflix this past...Wednesday. Appropriate! We had a surprise last minute substitution on this one who enjoyed podcasting one of her favorite shows and bringing us her perspective from a whole different generation! Come back in September for our discussion on the last four episodes of Wednesday, which drop on Netflix on September 3rd. And in the meantime, we highly recommend watching The Institute on MGM which we're enjoying immensely - we'll be podcasting the second half of that season as soon as it finishes in a few weeks. And then come fall, we will of course be back to our normal format, choosing one new show to follow and discuss an episode every week! In the meantime we hope you're all having a wonderful summer!

Hi friends! Today we have a second special episode for you guys. The many panelists on our podcast who have not yet had a chance to weigh in on the ending of the show have put together a series of episodes for you that we’re calling a Meta Mini-Series. This second episode of three is entitled, “Social and Political Themes of The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu”.The Handmaid’s Tale book has been hailed as a literary classic as well as an important cautionary tale that has become ever more relevant every year since the book’s publishing in 1985. The show’s creation in 2016 felt especially timely, and many have sought to use the striking visuals and symbolism of the show as a representation for feminism. The recent finale of the show has left audiences torn on whether this ended as a good message of feminism, or a message gone astray. This episode will address many of the events and messages of the show as it relates to that discourse, as well as the history that has come before it, and the politics that have, and will continue to influence the world as we know it.Please come back next week for a third and final episode in this Meta Mini-Series to wrap our years of podcasting The Handmaid’s Tale. The many panelists on our podcast who have not yet had a chance to weigh in on the ending of the show have put together a series of episodes for you that we’re calling a Meta Mini-Series. This first episode is entitled, “Nick & June Final Character Analyses” and will, obviously, cover an in depth analysis of the characters of both Nicholas Blaine and June Osborne, from The Handmaid’s Tale television show on Hulu.From the pilot episode through the last season of The Handmaid’s Tale, the relationship between Nick and June has been an especially compelling storyline that has brought in, and maintained, many thousands of viewers. It was not just that relationship that kept us coming back though, but the individual characters of both of them that meant so much to us for so long. Listen as our friends from across the world not only provide an in depth analysis of these characters, but also share their personal journeys with them and this story that has finally come to a close after nearly a decade.
