What happens when the identity you’ve spent years creating begins to dissolve? And what if your next chapter requires less effort, greater energetic capacity, and stronger boundaries? In Episode 103 of Jessica Meils the Podcast, I’m sharing a deeply personal experience with my first migraine aura, the intuitive messages I received from my spiritual guides, and the emotional connections I uncovered through shadow work and the mind-body connection. As we enter Scorpio season, with Mercury and Venus retrograde and the Taurus Full Moon approaching, I’m reflecting on the powerful relationship between transformation, self-trust, ancestral healing, and the subconscious mind.I’m also taking you back to 2008–2009, when becoming a mother initiated one of the greatest spiritual awakenings of my life. Now, nearly 18 years later, the Aquarius–Leo lunar nodes are activating the same themes as my daughter prepares for college and I step into another profound identity shift. We explore intuitive development, the sixth and twelfth houses in astrology, spiritual boundaries, the thinning veil, ancestral connections, and why rest and solitude can be essential parts of transformation. The invitation: Being seen does not equal being available. What if the thing keeping you from your next chapter is the fear of being seen?In this episode of Jessica Meils the Podcast, I’m sharing my 21-Day Visibility Challenge and exploring how perfectionism, fear of judgment, and old stories around visibility can keep us from showing up authentically. After years of creating safety within my work and community, I’m recognizing where I’ve become comfortable being seen only in familiar spaces. Now I’m challenging myself to stretch beyond them, show up imperfectly, and allow myself to be seen by new people. We explore self-trust, nervous system awareness, intuitive living, and what it means to expand without abandoning yourself.Your invitation: Where are you waiting for perfection before allowing yourself to participate?Today’s AffirmationI am ready to be seen.I am safe being seen.I allow people to see the real me.I no longer need perfection to participate.Continue Your Journey✨ Private Intuitive Healing & Mentorship:https://www.jessicameils.com/offerings🌿 Rooted & Rising | Intuitive Living:https://www.jessicameils.com🎧 Podcast & More Episodes:https://www.jessicameils.com/podcast🧘 Free Meditations & Resources:https://www.jessicameils.com/freebies❤️ Join the 21-Day Visibility Challenge on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/peoplecallmejessIf this episode resonates, follow the podcast, leave a review, and share it with someone who’s ready to be seen.Root deeply. Content Note: This episode includes sensitive conversations surrounding Indigenous history, the Albuquerque Indian School, Native American boarding schools, forced assimilation, intergenerational trauma, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP).Please honor yourself and your capacity to receive as you listen. Some of these stories carry profound grief, and I encourage you to move through this conversation with care and compassion. What happens when you begin uncovering the stories that shaped you, including the ones that began generations before you were born?In this deeply personal episode of Jessica Meils the Podcast, I’m sharing another layer of my becoming. A journey through identity, ancestry, inherited beliefs, and the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to hide in order to belong. We explore the connection between ancestral healing, generational trauma, epigenetics, and the ways our family histories continue to influence how we see ourselves, use our voices, and move through the world.I’m also opening a conversation about my Indigenous ancestry, the history of the Albuquerque Indian School, and the broader legacy of Native American boarding schools, where generations of Indigenous children experienced forced assimilation, separation from family, and the suppression of their languages and cultural identities. We also bring awareness to the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and People (MMIW/MMIP), honoring the lives, families, and communities whose stories deserve to be heard and remembered. These histories are deeply human. They carry grief, resilience, survival, and stories that deserve space.Through my own healing journey, I’ve come to recognize that becoming isn’t always about discovering something new. Sometimes it’s about remembering, reclaiming, and giving voice to the parts of ourselves and our histories that have been hidden. In this episode, we explore:Identity, belonging, and the stories we inheritIndigenous ancestry, cultural identity, and reclamationThe Albuquerque Indian School and the history of Native American boarding schoolsMissing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and People (MMIW/MMIP)Ancestral healing, generational trauma, and inherited patternsEpigenetics and how experiences across generations may influence our livesThe relationship between silence, survival, self-expression, and belongingReclaiming your voice and honoring the stories that came before youHow intuition, awareness, and self-trust support the journey of becomingAn invitation to reflect:What parts of your story have you been carrying that may have begun long before you? What parts of yourself have you learned to silence in order to belong? And what might become possible when you begin giving those parts of yourself permission to be seen, heard, and honored? This is part of the heart of Rooted & Rising.Rooting into who we are. Episode 100 feels like a threshold.A full cycle. A new chapter. And I can’t think of a better conversation to begin it with than receiving. We talk a lot about wanting more.More money.More support.More visibility.More opportunity.More ease.More love. But wanting something consciously and actually having the capacity to receive it are not always the same thing. In this episode, I’m inviting you out of the mind and into the body. What happens when someone wants to pay you more, support you, praise you, hire you, really see you, or give something to you?Do you soften?Do you contract?Do you minimize?Do you immediately feel like you have to earn it?Because sometimes what looks like a money issue is really a receiving issue.A support issue.A self-worth issue.A safety issue.Or an old story about what happens when we are given more. The body remembers. And those tiny contractions can tell us a much larger story. In this episode, we explore receiving as a nervous-system experience, the body’s response to money, support, praise, visibility and opportunity, the beliefs underneath contraction, and why “more” can sometimes register as pressure, obligation or danger.I also share more about the chapter I’m moving into around 2nd-house themes — money, worth, resources, receiving and what we’re actually able to hold. And I’m introducing something new to the podcast: live listener explorations where we’ll follow the thread underneath a contraction and explore the subconscious emotion, belief or pattern sitting beneath the surface.I also take you inside the Rooted & Rising Living Library and the Annual Profections Guide.ANNUAL PROFECTIONS GUIDEOne of the first people to move through the guide is a seasoned astrologer + artist. She described the experience as:“This was such a gift, an alchemical blend of astrology and storytelling.”She shared that the storytelling prompts became a remedy that helped her move out of a frozen pattern of confusion and call forward the archetype of Mars — courage, movement, assertion and life force — as she prepares to put her art into the world more courageously. That is the heart of this work. Not collecting more information.Learning how to recognize the story you are already living inside. The Annual Profections Guide is currently available for $8.88 through October 8th in honor of my birthday. After that, it will remain inside the Rooted & Rising Living Library at $18.88.Use it for the year you’re in now, revisit it throughout the year, and come back again as each birthday activates a new house and Time Lord.EXPLORE YOUR YEAR HERE WORK WITH ME 1:1I’ve opened a limited number of private sessions for October. If something in this episode brought up a deeper thread around money, receiving, self-worth, support, relationships, visibility, intuition, or a pattern you’re ready to explore at the root, you can book a private session here:BOOK A 1:1 SESSION HERE LIVE LISTENER EXPLORATIONSI’m also beginning a new podcast series where I’ll invite listeners into a live mini exploration around themes like money, support, visibility, self-worth, boundaries, pricing, success, being seen and receiving. These are not traditional interviews or full private sessions. We’ll follow the thread underneath the contraction, explore what the body is holding, and work with the subconscious pattern underneath it.If you want to be considered for one of these live podcast explorations, make sure you’re on my email list.JOIN THE EMAIL LIST HERE + FREE RESOURCES:https://www.jessicameils.com/freebiesCONNECTWebsite:https://www.jessicameils.comInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/peoplecallmejessPodcast:Jessica Meils the PodcastRoot deeply.Rise authentically.Trust yourself along the way.

Libra season invites us into a deeper conversation around balance, relationship, self-trust, support and the places we may be overthinking what we already know.In this episode, I’m exploring the Libra + Aries axis through the elements of air and fire — the relationship between reflection and action, partnership and autonomy, receiving support and knowing yourself deeply enough to remain rooted in your own authority.I’m also sharing what this season is bringing forward for me personally as I approach a new annual profection year and begin moving more deeply into themes of value, money, self-worth, resources, receiving and capacity. We talk about the shadow expressions of Libra, Aries, air and fire, what they can reveal when something is asking to come back into balance, and why I love co-creating with nature as a way of bringing our energy and body back into relationship with the rhythms already moving around us.Toward the end of the episode, I guide you through a gentle release + receiving practice and direct energy healing for those who consciously choose to receive. This practice is not tied to the Full Moon or Libra season. You can return to it anytime you feel ready to release what you’ve been carrying, create more space, and become available for something new.In this episodeLibra season + the deeper meaning of balanceThe Libra + Aries axis: self and other, autonomy and partnershipAir + fire and how the elements work togetherThe shadow of Libra: overthinking, avoidance + keeping the peaceThe shadow of Aries: forcing, independence + doing it all aloneSupport without abandoning your authorityReviewing the seeds you planted six months agoSecond-house themes: value, money, self-worth + receivingCo-creating with nature and seasonal cyclesA closing release + receiving ritual Energy healing for those who choose to receive Practice + energy healing[15:32 min TIMESTAMP] — Closing Ritual + Energy HealingIf you’re driving, working, or somewhere you can’t comfortably settle in, pause here and return when you have space. Every year as I get closer to my birthday, I start paying attention a little differently.I reflect on what changed, what I learned, what I’m leaving behind, and what seems to be asking for more of my attention in the year ahead. In this episode, I’m sharing one of the astrology tools I return to every year: annual profections. We’ll talk about how each birthday activates a different house in your chart, how to identify your Time Lord for the year, and why I use this technique less as prediction and more as a way to notice the themes already unfolding in my life.I’m also sharing what I’m seeing as I move out of a first-house year and into a second-house year centered around self-worth, value, money, receiving, resources, and what I’m building from now.In this episode:What annual profections areHow to find the house activated for your current yearWhat a Time Lord is and how I work with it as a guideWhy Whole Sign houses matter for this techniqueHow I use astrology to deepen awareness and self-trustThe second-house themes I’m stepping into around value, receiving, money, and self-worthWhy astrology gives me language, while lived experience gives it meaningPurchase: ANNUAL PROFECTION GUIDE ⬅️I created an Annual Profection Wheel + House Themes Guide to help you understand the year you’re in now or the year you’re moving into next.Inside you’ll find:Annual Profection Wheel by ageThemes of all 12 housesTraditional planetary rulersHow to identify your Time LordWhole Sign guidanceReflection promptsCompanion podcast episodeThe introductory price is $8.88 through October 8th. What happens when a pattern you’ve carried for years no longer feels necessary? In this Weekly Invitation, Jessica shares a personal realization around protection, betrayal, identity, and the ways we sometimes build parts of ourselves around keeping our hearts safe.As Virgo season comes to a close and we begin feeling the relational themes of Libra, this episode explores what it means to tend a pattern deeply enough to understand why it existed — and recognize when you may no longer need to carry it in the same way.Jessica also shares a message Spirit has given her about purpose:Your only purpose in this life is to live through your heart. To heal the ways in which you’ve learned to close it, choose the things that ignite it, and continue following your heart’s true desires.YOUR WEEKLY INVITATION:What have you already tended? What was the pattern protecting?Does it still serve who you are today?Who are you without it?WORK WITH JESSICA & WEBSITE INTUITIVE LIVINGThe foundational experience of Rooted & Rising.Safety Within. In this episode, we’re talking about shadow work, somatics, self-trust, and what happens when we’re willing to look beneath the surface.Because you can’t heal what you won’t look at.I’m sharing how I follow the thread underneath a reaction, a pattern, or a belief and ask:What’s really here? What did I make this mean?Is it still true now?We also talk about the body as information, discernment, family stories around money, and the patterns we can carry forward without realizing there’s a thread connecting them. This episode also lands with the Virgo New Moon, so I’m sharing a simple ritual around tending, discernment, and planting what needs your attention back into the earth with intention and prayer. In this episode:
Shadow work + self-awareness
Somatics + the body as information
Limiting beliefs + family patterns

In this episode, I’m sharing a personal life update from the desert.I’m here with both of my parents, laughing, sharing childhood memories, asking questions, hearing stories about my lineage, and realizing just how much healing has taken place over the years. At the same time, my daughter is entering her senior year, which has brought me face-to-face with the eighteen-year-old version of myself — the girl whose family was changing, whose parents were preparing to divorce, and who learned to survive by becoming strong. What I’m realizing now is that some of the fear surfacing around my daughter leaving the nest isn’t hers. It’s mine. This episode is about ancestral healing, family systems, forgiveness, shadow work, the armor we build to survive, and what happens when the body finally realizes it no longer has to brace for the past.We also talk about eclipse season, lineage, and what it means to interrupt what gets carried forward.Because sometimes healing isn’t forgetting what happened.Sometimes it’s realizing your body no longer has to live as though it’s still happening. In this episode:
Ancestral healing + lineage stories
Family systems + inherited patterns
Shadow work + emotional awareness
Forgiveness as an embodied experience
The armor of strength
Parenting through our own fears
Eclipse season + life transitions
