What would it look like to truly live life together? Change demands more than just a goal, a desire, and a hope.. it demands action and honesty with ourselves, a willingness to look at what we give our time and our energy to and if we are willing to change those daily actions to see change in ourselves and our future.

This has been a year... at least for me, and almost everyone else I've talked to. BUT! When was the last time you met someone who had everything they wanted?Today I want to introduce you to Adrian, Adrian is one who has found more than his home in the sea, he is one who has chosen to learn every lesson it teaches, and celebrate every blessing it givesI had the pleasure of meeting him on my recent time in Mauritius and got to share time on the water with him and my friends. Just a few raw unfiltered thoughts of a big decision 

Can a story about the birds be a negative thing?Today I want to introduce you to Athena, Athena is one of the people in my life that I wonder how she wasn’t there sooner. The conversations, space that reminds me how real and valid all the things we experience and feel in this life are, how she isn’t afraid to be honest, and truly owns the life she gets to live. I’ve got a deep respect for this girl and an even greater ability to lose track of time while we chat Athena is one who has learned and absorbed what it is to grow within oneself, to take every experience and ask, “how do I see myself, and how can I improve.” It takes a lot to be one that seeks to explore with joy and wonder, while never losing sight of the weight every moment holdsWe chat about what it means to feel justice and fairness, both as a kid, and in our adult relationships, what it means to give yourself grace, yet still hold yourself accountable to what you know you can achieve and not let fear get in the way She shares how a book she is reading led to a question, one she asks me, and one I believe speaks to what we value, or even what we should lean into valuing most in lifeWe chat about the impact of major life changes, ones we have both made, and ones that others tried to keep us from making, how outside validation should not dictate your life, and how you wanting something is enough of a reason to pursue itAthena is the kind of friend we don’t always get to know in this life, the kind we must be real and honest with ourselves first, but when you are, and when you get to meet someone like her, it reminds you how worth self acceptance and pursuit of those who see you truly isSo tune in and meet Athena, and maybe, just maybe, you might see something in yourself in our chat that makes you smile And to you Athena thank you, thank you for being you, being real, being one who emphatically nods yes and says “GIRL yes” when I spill how I feel, for living fully and reminding me to do the same, and for every hour we have and will spend talking about all that life throws our way, the things we choose to catch and let fall

What if the world told you that how you defined yourself and your roles were wrong? Today I want to introduce you to Julie, Julie is the person I call when I shouldn’t ask the questions in my head, she’s the one that hears parts of me very few others even know exist and one that has grounded me in some of the hardest times and laughed with me in some of the silliest moments Julie is a human that has accomplished so much, she is one that has chosen to live a life and treat it like a journey to learn from and give back to others on; both as an CRNA, a friend, a mother, and a woman living life in a way that reminds others to stay true to who you areWe chat about how titles impact how others see us, how roles are often accompanied by expectations, and most importantly, how we need to define those for ourselves and not what another determines for us. She shares why fear is something to listen to, to understand when in our lives we need to lean in and overcome it, or if it is one we need to respect and listen to, but ultimately how fear is to be navigated We chat about the importance of authenticity, not just for what others see but for ourselves, to know what it means at the end of your life to be at peace with how you lived, what you put into the world, and what legacy you choose to leave behind. we chat about knowing what brings you deep and meaningful joy and the importance of checking in with yourself and being sure you are pursuing those things Julie is one that loves others well, one that has many “roles” in this world, but one that I admire most for how she respects and listens to the role of being her and who she is meant to be So tune in today and meet Julie, someone who if you are fortunate enough to meet will change your life, and someone that if you only ever get to hear this conversation, will remind you that knowing yourself in and out of your roles in this life is worth stepping into with confidence And to you Julie thank you, thank you for being the force of love and grounding that you are in my life, thank you for your endless wisdom, non existent judgment, complete understanding of my sarcasm, and general tolerance for my inability to sit still.
