Arizona Eagle Mining Corp CEO Kevin Reid joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the company’s McCabe high-grade gold and silver project in Arizona, highlighting what he believes could be a transformational opportunity built around an extensive historic mining operation with significant existing infrastructure. Reid explained that the McCabe Mine was previously operated until the early 1990s, when mining giant BHP shut down operations during a period when gold prices were hovering around US$300 per ounce. The property subsequently remained in private hands for nearly four decades before Arizona Eagle acquired the asset and began assembling a much larger district-scale land package around it. Today, the company controls nearly 5,000 acres in the region, including more than 400 acres of patented private land that hosts 11 historic producing gold and silver mines, along with over 4,000 acres of surrounding Bureau of Land Management claims. Reid believes this consolidated land position provides substantial exploration and development potential beyond the original McCabe Mine footprint. One of the most significant discoveries made since acquiring the project came during a recent underground assessment. Using a submersible camera system, Arizona Eagle determined that the mine’s concrete-lined production shaft extends significantly deeper than previously documented. Historical records indicated a depth of approximately 1,450 feet, but the company confirmed the shaft actually reaches roughly 1,650 feet. According to Reid, this finding further enhances the value of the project’s existing infrastructure, which includes a 15-foot-wide production shaft, approximately five kilometres of underground workings and a ventilation raise located roughly 1,000 feet from the main shaft. He estimates the replacement cost of this infrastructure alone could exceed US$50 million in today’s market. Following its public listing, Arizona Eagle completed a seven-hole Phase 1 surface drilling program that generated encouraging results and led to what Reid described as several new discoveries. However, he noted that the extensive underground workings present challenges for surface drilling, including the potential to lose drill holes into historic mine voids. As a result, the company’s strategic focus has shifted toward evaluating the feasibility of regaining underground access. Reid believes that drilling from underground stations could dramatically improve efficiency, reducing drilling costs to approximately one-tenth of comparable surface programs while allowing the company to complete 50 to 70 drill holes during a single campaign instead of the seven holes completed in the initial surface program. The project also benefits from what Reid describes as a highly favourable permitting environment. The core assets are situated on patented private land adjacent to a paved highway, eliminating many of the surface-disturbance challenges often associated with exploration projects on federal lands. The property has access to water, faces no known species or Indigenous land-use constraints on its primary development areas, and is located just 45 minutes from Prescott, Arizona, providing access to skilled labour and infrastructure. Willoughby said the proposed facility represents a strategic opportunity to create an independent, revenue-generating business while strengthening domestic supply chains for key industrial chemicals that are essential to lithium processing, rare earth separation and advanced materials production. Chlor-alkali products, including chlorine, hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide, are critical reagents used throughout the battery metals and critical minerals industries. Beyond their role in lithium extraction and refining, these chemicals are also used extensively in rare earth processing, precious metals production, water treatment, manufacturing and a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. The proposed plant would utilize sodium chloride, water and electricity to produce these essential chemicals at an initial targeted production rate of 300 short tons per day of chlorine. The facility is being designed with scalability in mind, allowing production capacity to potentially double to 600 short tons per day depending on regional demand and future requirements from the Angel Island project. A significant validation of the concept has already emerged through customer interest. Century Lithium has entered into eight non-binding memoranda of understanding with third-party companies across multiple industrial and chemical sectors. Collectively, these potential offtake agreements could account for the entire initial production capacity of the proposed plant, demonstrating strong market demand for domestically produced chlor-alkali products. Willoughby emphasized that the company continues to engage with additional prospective customers as it advances commercial discussions and evaluates long-term supply agreements. To identify the optimal location for the facility, Century Lithium conducted an extensive review of candidate sites in Nevada and Utah. American Rare Earths Chief Development Officer Andrew Conover joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s first certified assay results from the initial six HQ core holes completed as part of its 2026 Feasibility Study drilling program at the Cowboy State Mine within the Red Mountain Project in Wyoming. Conover said the results continue to validate the strength and continuity of the rare earth mineralization at Red Mountain, with broad zones of near-surface mineralization confirmed across the first six holes. The assays returned a pooled average grade of 3,497 parts per million (ppm) Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO), significantly above the project’s resource cut-off grade of 1,000 ppm TREO. Among the highlights, drill hole HC26-RM051 delivered a maximum single-sample assay of 9,084 ppm TREO over a 3.02-metre interval, underscoring the presence of high-grade mineralization within the deposit. Approximately 93% of all certified sampled intervals exceeded the company’s established resource cut-off grade, further supporting the consistency and scale of the mineralized system. Across 386 geological assay intervals analyzed to date, TREO grades averaged 3,497 ppm, with a median grade of 3,879 ppm. Conover noted that the results align closely with the existing Cowboy State Mine geological model and Mineral Resource Estimate, providing additional confidence in the deposit’s size, grade distribution and potential economic viability. The drilling program is a key component of the company’s ongoing feasibility study work, which is designed to support future development decisions and enhance resource confidence. With certified assay results now received from six of the planned 18 HQ core holes, American Rare Earths expects additional assay data from the remaining 12 holes as laboratory processing and technical reviews continue. The company’s geological team is integrating the new drilling data with detailed geological logging, lithological interpretations and the existing resource model to refine its understanding of the deposit. Power Metallic Mines CEO Terry Lynch joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the first assay results from the company’s Summer 2026 drilling campaign at its flagship Lion discovery, highlighting evidence that the high-grade polymetallic deposit continues well beyond the limits of the current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). Lynch explained that drilling prior to the summer program was largely focused on increasing drill density within the existing resource area to improve confidence in the recently announced MRE. The goal was to upgrade much of the deposit into the Indicated category while refining the geological model, particularly within the portion of the deposit that could potentially support future open-pit development. The latest results mark the first assays returned from that deep-drilling strategy. A major highlight came from hole PML-26-125, which represents the deepest assay-confirmed intersection ever reported at Lion, reaching nearly 800 metres vertical depth. The hole was specifically designed to test the projected plunge of the mineralized system approximately 150 metres below the previous deepest significant intercept. The results confirmed the presence of 5.7 metres of massive to semi-massive copper sulphide mineralization, demonstrating that the Lion system remains robust at depth and extends well beyond the current resource boundary. For comparison, the previous deepest drill hole through the core of the Lion shoot, PML-25-002, intersected 1.95 metres grading 7.95% copper equivalent at approximately 610 metres vertical depth. The new intercept significantly expands the known vertical extent of the deposit and strengthens the case for further resource growth. Additional drilling has also supported the interpretation of a continuing mineralized plunge. Hole PML-26-121a targeted the western side of the projected Lion trend at roughly 650 metres vertical depth and intersected disseminated to semi-massive copper sulphides. Meanwhile, hole PML-26-128 tested the eastern side of the system at nearly 900 metres vertical depth and encountered disseminated sulphides and massive copper sulphide veinlets. Assay results from that hole remain pending. Lynch said the combined results from all three holes provide compelling evidence that the Lion deposit remains open at depth and has not yet been fully defined. Brice said work using modern exploration techniques is revealing a broader mineralised system extending beyond the original interpretation and historical workings. Lightning Minerals has assessed the system at around 4.3 square kilometres so far, while the wider prospective granite contact extends for approximately 13 kilometres. Recent rock-chip sampling has also returned encouraging tungsten results, with five of six new samples grading above 1% tungsten and a peak of 5.5%. Brice highlighted quartz-hosted wolframite as well as scheelite identified in the wall rock, supporting the case for a strong tungsten orebody at Warby. "Every time we touch Warby, we find more," he said, adding that each phase of work is strengthening and expanding the geological model. Phase 3 exploration is now underway, with Lightning Minerals planning a further 270 infill and extended-line geochemical samples. Around 170 soil samples had already been dispatched to laboratories in Townsville at the time of the interview, with roughly another 100 expected to follow. The company is working towards refining its anomalies and identifying a maiden drill target early in the new year, with exploration also identifying tin, gold and copper alongside tungsten, raising the potential for a broader polymetallic system. Purepoint Uranium Group (PTU) CEO Chris Frostad tells Proactive that the first drill hole at the Q24 zone on its Dorado project returned 7.4 meters of radioactivity at 8,760 counts per second, with peaks reaching 50,000 counts per second. Frostad describes the result as highly significant given it came from the very first hole drilled in that zone. The Q24 zone is separate from both the Nova and Q23 targets within the broader Dorado project, which Purepoint holds in partnership with ISO Energy across approximately 100,000 hectares in the Athabasca Basin. Frostad highlights that the radioactivity was found at the unconformity, a classic uranium-bearing setting, and that chalcopyrite was identified beneath it — an indicator of the hydrothermal activity that would have mobilized uranium through the area. Assays from the summer drill program are still pending. Frostad says the company is also processing 3D mobile MT geophysical surveys conducted across the entire project over the summer, and will spend the next one to two months interpreting that data alongside drill results.
