Hour 2: Former Chicago Bears Super Bowl Champion and Bears radio analyst Tom Thayer joined Kap & J. Hood with the latest updates on the Chicago Bears offseason. Justin Ishbia, who is moving to buy land just across the Chicago River from the South Loop site, long coveted by Sox ownership to build a new home.  Ishbia’s private equity firm Shore Capital Partners “is under contract to acquire the Amtrak rail yard and has begun early planning for a mixed-use development” on the site, which is adjacent to the river south of Roosevelt Road, a spokesperson for the Sox minority owner said Wednesday.

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed March Madness, the NCAA Basketball Tournament.  Bracketology begins today, when the guys spend time talking about college basketball, poring over résumés, watching games and evaluating strengths, weaknesses and possibilities.

Hood discussed the Chicago Bears free agent signings; will they be better? What is your confidence level in Ryan Poles to build a better defense for the Bears? 

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed the Venezuela has won the World Baseball Classic for the first time, upsetting a star-studded United States team 3-2 in the championship game in Miami.

Hour 3: Kap &  J. Hood played Shot or No Shot, took a trip Around The NFL, Previewed the WBC Finals, remembering Orion Samuelson & John Hultman and the Kap & J. Hood Classic Cut of the day.

Hour 2: NFL Insider for SI.com Albert Breer joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears and the latest NFL storylines.  Kap & J. Hood pointed out the struggles of the NBA and what the could do to get better.  Kap goes off on Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf and current management for mismanaging the team.  Will the Bulls ever get better?   

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed that the Jets agreed Monday to eat some of Justin Fields’ contract to facilitate trading their displaced starter to the Chiefs for a sixth-round pick in 2027, The Post confirmed.  The Jets were hesitant to release Fields and take on a $22 million dead salary cap charge with nothing in return. Their patience into the second week of free agency paid off by finding a taker for Fields, though the Jets will pay off $7 million of the $10 million guaranteed salary that he is due at the end of his two-year contract, a source said.
