Hour 2: NFL Insider for SI.com Albert Breer joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears and the latest NFL storylines.  Kap & J. Hood pointed out the struggles of the NBA and what the could do to get better.  Kap goes off on Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf and current management for mismanaging the team.  Will the Bulls ever get better?   

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed that the Jets agreed Monday to eat some of Justin Fields’ contract to facilitate trading their displaced starter to the Chiefs for a sixth-round pick in 2027, The Post confirmed.  The Jets were hesitant to release Fields and take on a $22 million dead salary cap charge with nothing in return. Their patience into the second week of free agency paid off by finding a taker for Fields, though the Jets will pay off $7 million of the $10 million guaranteed salary that he is due at the end of his two-year contract, a source said.

Hour 2: MLB Insider ESPN Jesse Rogers joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the White Sox, Cubs and the latest MLB storylines.  Kap & J. Hood discussed the 16-16 DePaul Blue Demons didn't have enough to make either tournament and the difference between Bruce Pearl the basketball coach vs the CBS analyst.  

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed the financials of the Chicago Bears and according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, who says the Chicago Bears don't have any money and is broke.  Is this the case? Hour 2: National Bears Reporter for ESPN Courtney Cronin Joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears and the latest NFL storylines.  J. Hood & J. Mac discussed Kennth Walker wearing a John Maddon Raiders shirt to his Kansas City Chiefs presser.  The Bears' free agency signings and loses.  Brisker, Byard, Wright, Edmunds, and CJGJ are all gone as the Bears rebuild their defense in the style of Dennis Allen, but should we trust him? He loves bigger bodied defensive linemen, and he is a reason Grady Jarrett and Dayo Odeyingbo are here, and those two contracts are the biggest reason we didn't get any free agents. Jason McKie was in for Kap.
