Issa Rayyan (Las Vegas Lights [soccer])

Issa Rayyan is a professional soccer player on the Las Vegas Lights of the USL, and former member of the Duke Soccer team. I had the fortune of working with Issa during his freshman year.Issa shares his story, battle with injuries, and some VERY important advice for young athletes.

Morgan Hill is a Division 1 NCAA soccer player at Georgia State university. She’s loved and played soccer since she was around 5 years old. In July of 2021 she tore her ACL, and in the next week she has to get reconstruction surgery again since the first surgery didn’t go as planned. Kaitlyn Mathews is a Division 1 NCAA softball player at Ball State University. She grew up playing many different sports and she has been playing softball since she was 6 years old. Kaitlyn is a nutrition/dietetics student at Ball State and she hopes to one day become a sports dietitian. Her experience as an athlete along with her nutrition education has provided her with many skills and tips that she would love to pass along to other athletes.In this episode, we discuss the unique traits and training that Kaitlyn did to become a D1 Softball player, as well as some of the mistakes she made that almost hurt her chances of making it to that level.
