Episode 31: On the Road Again

Ahead of the tournament starting this weekend, our focus for the podcast this episode was all thing's Celtic Challenge! We are halfway through this season's PWR following last weekend's round nine. And ahead of round ten this weekend we had another journey round the grounds hearing from Gloucester-Hartpury's Sarah Beckett and Saracens Kelsey Clifford ahead of their two sides' mammoth clash at Kingsholm on Saturday. We heard from Harlequins forward coach Steve Halsey and their hooker Connie Powell on their 'bombsquad'. And finally we also hear from Bears head coach Dave Ward and Loughborough's Kathryn Treder and head coach Nathan Smith.

In the week Ilona Maher arrived at Bristol Bears, we heard from Bristol's Head Coach Dave Ward and fly-half Holly Aitchison on the arrival and their game against Exeter Chiefs. We also heard from Exeter's Cliodhna Moloney on rugby in Ireland, Saracens Georgia Evans on the importance of live streaming and Loughborough's Emily Scarratt on their game vs defending champions Gloucester-Hartpury!

Another week, another look into the PWR camps on TWRS Weekly. This week we hear from Loughborough, Saracens, Gloucester-Hartpury, Leicester & Sale from the likes of Sarah McKenna & Meg Jones. Another belter of an episode!

The PWR train rolls into town once again this weekend after a week off and we are bringing you a bumper episode where we speak to six of the eight teams in action. We hear from Saracens, Leicester Tigers, Loughborough Lightning, Exeter Chiefs, Sale Sharks & Trailfinders. Talking to some legends in Marlie Packer, Alev Kelter and World Rugby POTY nominee Alex Tessier but also from future stars in Julia Omokhuale, Alivia Leatherman and Sale's Eva Wood who's making her long awaited return from injury.

It may be a PWR week-off but the content doesn't stop on The Women's Rugby Show. On the pod this week we hear from Edinburgh University and Scotland U'20s star Nicole Flynn on her return from injury, we talk to Amelia Lavallee on the return of rugby in Denmark and we talk all things Utrecht Shield!

On this week's Pod we hear from Jas Joyce-Butchers to discuss life at Bristol on her return from the 7's game, as well as her Bears head-coach Dave Ward who gives an insight into Reneeqa Bonner's dalliance with 7s. We also speak to cross-code star Fran Goldthorp as she returns from rugby league to a Loughborough shirt and also new Dad Nathan Smith on Goldthorp's quality and his sides return from a bye week.
