Make Crypto Simple Again! How? With Intents! In this episode of the TEACHMEDEFI podcast, our guests from Symphony Labs discuss chain abstraction and intents in the crypto and blockchain space. They explain how chain abstraction aims to reduce the complexity of the crypto experience for users by providing a simple Web2-based interface.

Our guests in this episode are anonymous and go by Vivaldi, CEO of Symphony Labs, and Mozart, CTO of Symphony Labs. Symphony enables users to express their intents, while Solvers go out and find the best solutions for them. The Solvers are algorithms that find optimized solutions for users’ intents. This concept will be at the core of a Perpetuals Aggregator, which allows users to open and close positions in perpetuals (across chains on different Perpetuals DEXs such as GMX), while collateral is held across different chains.

This might sound complex, but essentially it makes the user journey in the front end simple, compared to the status quo today.

The goal is to make the process as seamless as possible for users: One interface to access an onchain perpetuals trading experience that rivals the experience on centralized platforms such as Binance.

Security and risk factors, particularly the risk of session keys, are also discussed. Vivaldi and Mozart also touch on token staking within Symphony. And finally, we hear about what’s next on the roadmap!
