One day, Dana, an African American woman, is transported back to the antebellum South. She finds herself saving a white boy—the son of a slave owner—from drowning. Quickly she was transported back to present day—she has no idea what just happened. Dana gets transported back to the South multiple times where she is forced to survive and figure out her purpose there—and how to get home to present day.
