Liquid Entities

When a drug user allows a serviceman gone AWOL into his home, weird stuff starts happening. On the surface of it, it sounds like a delusion - or maybe something exotic such as fairy-folk. But what if it's something a whole lot more man-made, designed to use citizens in a test for something quite sinister?Gnomes, greys, or defence contractors? - that's the question!Consider helping us out at https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod For merch go to https://thequantummechanics.teemill.com/

This week we are swimming in entities that can shift from solid to liquid form. We have a white horse from Wales that can transform into mist; a cryptid who is so ashamed of the way it looks it can disappear into a pool of it's own tears; and a ghostly apparition in the form of a pillar of water. This episode was recorded live in front of a festival crowd at Strange Days 2026. Ben discusses his experiences with corn circle observations in 1990 - Operation Blackbird was a BBC and Nippon TV joint venture to capture the formation of a crop formation, to determine what was causing it.The summer of this year saw the tabloids featuring ever more elaborate circles all over Wiltshire - so the interest was high. What happened next killed off mainstream interest in the phenomenon, but was it a psi op? Ben has information never before discussed in public - he was there the morning the formation was captured. We then discuss the work of Robert Temple, which might explain what we are seeing - and why Wiltshire contains so many monuments to a sentience which we might be ignoring. All this, plus Spinal Tap samples. Please consider supporting us at - https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

What if the solid, separate world is only the shallow end — and reality, underneath, is a single undivided whole, folded so completely that every fragment contains the entire thing? This episode takes on the strangest idea the show has ever tackled: that the universe and the human brain might both work like a hologram. It's the theory that turns telepathy, precognition, impossible healings, and out-of-body experiences from violations of nature into clues about it — traced through the work of a neuroscientist, a physicist who spent six months arguing with Einstein, and the doomed writer who tied it all together a year before his death. Please consider supporting us at - https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

In the 1990s, a small group of people in rural England claimed to produce extraordinary evidence of life after death — including spirit voices, photographs, physical objects and messages from the dead. The Scole Experiments became one of the most intriguing and controversial investigations in paranormal history. But were they genuine paranormal wonders, or an elaborate and carefully executed hoax?To listen to our exclusive Patreon Episode go to https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod For more info on The Scole Experiment go to https://www.thescoleexperiment.com/

A look at nine poltergeist cases that rarely make the famous lists — no Enfield, no Amityville, no Bell Witch. Drawing on newspaper archives, Guy Lyon Playfair, Society for Psychical Research journal papers, and first-person Reddit accounts, this episode examines stories that we found surprising.Cases covered:Sauchie, Scotland (1960) — 11-year-old Virginia Campbell, witnessed by a minister and three doctors.Runcorn, Cheshire (1952) — the "Brutus" case that reached Life magazine and reportedly threw three police officers.Stratford, Connecticut (1850) — the Rev. Eliakim Phelps house and its self-assembling effigies.South Shields (2005–06) — threatening texts allegedly sent from a phone with no SIM or battery.Jaboticabal, Brazil (1965) — the tragic case of Maria José Ferreira.San Pedro, Los Angeles (1989) — the attic strangling photographed during Barry Taff's investigation.Plus anonymous first-person reports from Reddit. Are polts created by the dead, or is there some other reason for this very strange phenomenon? To help us continue our investigations and get exclusive content go to https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

This week we have strange cases of disappearances. A man who vanished in front of his family, whole villages that vanished without a trace, and a pilot who disappeared after a UFO encounter. We also look at an interesting theory about JOTTS (objects that disappear and reappear). To help us continue our investigations and get exclusive content go to https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

Before the Wilshire corn circles hit the press, Australia enjoyed it's own flap. In 1966 a strange craft is witnessed emerging from a reed bed - and what it leaves behind is a circular formation. We often talk about a unifying theory of the paranormal, and one of the most obvious similarities lies in the stories of alien contact and fairy encounters - but it doesn't stop there. In this episode we examine a number of stories that appear to illustrate that there is a controlling force behind everything humans report as paranormal - and even the fictional, or provably mistaken, encounters provide some clues.
