Roberta Lucca, the BAFTA-winning founder of leading games developer Bossa Studios, host of the podcast ‘Hyper Curious’ and ‘The Apprentice’ guest judge, joins Vivian to share the story of her ‘difficult second album’. From the high of winning that BAFTA with Bossa (which Roberta says taught her nothing except that it was possible!) to the painful and personal lows of having to close down her next business.

As you’d expect from someone chosen to advise Lord Sugar and a self-described ‘entrepreneurial anarchist’, Roberta doesn’t hold back in challenging traditional thinking or cosy assumptions. Whether it’s the need for founders to be honest with themselves about where their strengths lie, how leaders can become trapped by job titles or her thought-provoking take on the failure hypothesis.

As Roberta says ‘low moments happen in slow motion, high moments happen on fast forward’ which is why recording this episode flew by for us.
