Laura meets leading researcher into Near Death Experiences (NDE's), Dr Nicole Lindsay, to explore the fascinating relationship between near-death experiences and dreaming. In this episode Laura meets Franca Fubini, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and an organizational consultant, to discuss the history of social dreaming. How the methodology was developed by Gordon Lawrence in the 1980's, while working at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London, UK, and its significance in accessing the unconscious for the understanding of societal issues.   Laura and Franca delve into the social dreaming matrix, where a collective of people come together to transform the thinking of the dream by sharing dreams, finding links, connections and discovering new thoughts and thinking. Such process gives access to the social meaning of dreams.  Social dreaming differs from traditional dream analysis as the focus is on the dream itself, not the dreamer.   The discussion also touches on the impact of the 9/11 and COVID-19 pandemic on dreaming, highlighting common themes that emerged during that time.   Franca is also an organizational consultant: she explains how over years of experience the methodology has become a most useful tool of organizational consultancy.
