Today my daughter Cassie joins me as we talk about an animated series she recently introduced me to from Disney, The Owl House. What happens when a creative young girl who doesn't fit in finds herself in a magical realm? Why, she befriends a witch, the king of demons and a magical house and decides to train as a witch! The Owl House is the story of Luz Noceda, a creative girl with a strong love of fantasy who is doomed to spend her summer at Reality Check Summer Camp until she stumbles through a portal to the Boiling Islands and her dreams become a reality. What's up Know-It-All's! In 1998 Marvel Comics, in conjunction with New Line Cinema, released a film that gave hope to the idea that comic book movies could be a reality. Blade, starring Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff and Kris Kristofferson, hit theaters and was a worldwide success. Two years later we had the X-Men franchise, followed by the Spider-Man films and the rest is history. Today I look back at this hit film to see what made it a hit. Listen and enjoy!
