591: Iain Forsyth, Jane Pollard & Beth Orton On Marianne Faithful Documentary Broken English

We're bringing you another of our Soundtracking Everyman film club interviews, recorded at Screen On The Green in Islington following a screening of the Marianne Faitfull documentary, Broken English. Edith's guests are directors Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, and Beth Orton, who is just one of a number of illustrious contributors to the film.

Our latest guest on Soundtracking is the writer and director of DJ Ahmet, Georgi M. Unkovski. Set in North Macedonia, it tells the story of a 15-year-old boy who discovers music, falls in love for the first time, and struggles to come to terms with the conservatism of the rural village in which he lives.

After director Tom Harper joined us in our previous episode to discuss Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, Edith hooks up with Tommy Shelby himself, Cillian Murphy, and one of the film's composers, Antony Genn, in New York (thanks to our very good friends at Netflix).
