Episode 48: Paws for Concern

This week on Puddy’s Podcast, it's a little bit of everything! I attend a unique book release party exploring sex, fetishes, and the science behind our unusual desires, battle another rough week of acid reflux, and wrestle with the decision of Halloween versus a more emotionally challenging birthday. I'm also looking forward to some much-needed time off after a difficult year. Plus, I pay tribute to Patrick Stewart, explore the real-life inspiration behind Van Gogh's The Starry Night, revisit some classic Adam Sandler lyrics, question why fast food portions keep shrinking, share my thoughts on The Mandalorian and Grogu, and celebrate a historic Game 7 in the WNBA Finals. A little reflection, a little nostalgia, and plenty of Puddy randomness!

This week, I finally had a weekend that felt GOOD! From enjoying the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and watching Megan Thee Stallion steal the spotlight to getting some much-needed sleep, it was a welcome break from the weight I’ve been carrying this year. I also share an update on my brother finally going home, the exhausting process of getting him settled, and why sometimes making the adult decision means staying home instead of going out. Plus, we have an inspiring story about an overweight English bulldog getting a second chance, the Atlanta Dream making a statement in the playoffs behind Angel Reese, Tim McGraw’s induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and my latest TV binge-watching adventures with Arli$$ and The Sopranos. Now I just need some more TV recommendations!

This week on Puddy’s Podcast, I finally got the good laugh I needed at the Joe Gatto and Drew Lynch show, discovered a delicious new Fireball flavor, and experienced a Lyft ride home that took an unexpected turn—literally onto the highway shoulder! I also got a behind-the-scenes look at a Hollywood movie set featuring Tom Hanks’ latest film, dealt with my mother’s mysterious Wi-Fi situation, and questioned whether the urologist had somehow accessed my internet search history. Plus, I’m running out of patience, my screen time is out of control, a familiar reality TV family is back in the headlines, and I’m sharing some good news about a wildlife overpass that’s making highways safer. All that, a little WNBA Finals support for Angel Reese, Megan Thee Stallion on the Victoria Secret Fashion show, and plenty of other random thoughts in Episode 51!

It’s Episode 50 of Puddy’s Podcast, and this milestone episode brings plenty of drama! My car is officially beyond saving, leaving me facing the challenge of finding a replacement. I also have an update on my brother’s recovery, a nurse who may or may not have been flirting with me, and a friend who asked a question that really hit home: after taking care of everyone else, who’s taking care of me? Plus, I discuss the Caleb Flynn case, Bill Maher’s controversial rant on fraternities, a baby otter saved by CPR, and my latest TV and movie adventures. Fifty episodes down, and the adventures are far from over!

One year. Twelve months. 52 weeks of Puddy’s Podcast! This week, I celebrate the one-year anniversary by looking back at how and where I started, everything that’s happened along the way, and why I stuck with it. I also get a little personal about missing being part of something bigger than myself after years of being part of a relationship, a team, and a locker room. Plus, old deleted pictures of my ex reappear, there’s a cat update, insurance companies frustrate me, the Lindsay Clancy and Cornell 7 cases make headlines, and we talk about a botched execution. Add in the MTV VMAs reminding me I’m getting old, masked magic secrets being revealed, and some sad goodbyes, and we’ve got a packed anniversary episode. One year down… here’s to many more!

This week on Puddy’s Podcast, it’s been a stressful few weeks, so I finally took a break and watched Coyote vs. Acme—and absolutely loved it! Meanwhile, I’ve been very worried about my brother’s cat while he’s been in the hospital and rehab, took a trip to Brooklyn to see a great production of Don Juan that deserves an Off-Broadway run, and wondered why financial literacy wasn’t taught when I was in school. Trust me, I could’ve used the help! I also share my disappointment with the Legacy of the Dark Knight video game DLC and check in on Season 2 of MobLand, a show that practically requires subtitles and might leave you with some questionable new vocabulary!

This week I look back on 9/11, 25 years later, and share why September 10th holds special meaning to me. Plus, my Broadway luck strikes again, a wild dream featuring Megan Thee Stallion, 408 days of being single, are the Grand Theft Auto cops about to make the game less fun, MapQuest takes a stand, a tragic passing in the wrestling world, and serious warnings about AI potentially threatening humanity. Another week of memories, madness, and everything in between!

This week is basically me asking, “Why are women so intimidated by me having female friends?” while simultaneously admitting I donated to a charity because the woman collecting money was cute. Add in car trouble that thankfully wasn’t car trouble, taking on more family responsibilities, the latest in the Lindsey Clancy case, my Curb Your Enthusiasm conundrum, the hate for female Superhero movies, helping a friend with auditions, and a very unexpected message that joins the conversation. Somehow, I packed a LOT into this one!

This week, I remember the legacies of Dolly Parton and Tim Curry, talk Tuesday karaoke with AJ and the 1,000th episode of Big Brother, and dive into two very strange dreams—one featuring my ex and another where I somehow survive a collapsing Las Vegas casino by apparently respawning. I also discuss the Lindsay Clancy trial and the difficult questions surrounding mental illness and responsibility. Basically, my subconscious is still an asshole.

This week, I follow up on the meatloaf with more cooking adventures, including nearly eating an entire dish of baked ziti, some questionable chicken combinations, and the realization that I apparently can’t even get laid in my dreams. I also talk about finally finishing my dentist treatments, Garth Brooks’ tour, Rosie O’Donnell hosting Jimmy Kimmel, a flat tire, the long-awaited Coyote vs. Acme, the return of an otter to the Bronx River, and the latest Harry and Meghan headlines. Another week of food, weird dreams, nostalgia, anxiety, and random chaos!
