He told the 2026 Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas that if the GOP holds the House and the Senate, every adult citizen gets a “Trump dividend.” He framed it like a company paying shareholders after “tremendous economic success,” and he told the crowd to pretend he’s on the ballot so he can finish the job. Keep the majority, he said, and the next two years include voter ID, energy production, permanent cuts on tips, overtime, and Social Security, plus bills on surprise medical billing, hospital prices, credit-card swipe fees, cashless bail, and the death penalty for large-scale drug dealers. Lose it, and he warned the border, the tax cuts, and the safety go with it. Families of 9/11 just walked a petition into New York City Hall asking Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) to stay away from Friday’s 25th anniversary memorial. More than a dozen relatives of the dead stood on the steps and said the mayor’s presence turns a private hour of grief into a political photo. The Change.org petition started by Giovanni Galante — whose wife, Grace, was killed in the attacks — now has more than 102,000 signatures. They asked for one window: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the National September 11 Memorial, where the names of 2,983 victims will be read. Mamdani has said he will be there. Cheri Sparacio, who lost her husband, Tom, on the 84th floor of the South Tower, put the line where families want it: “It’s not about his religion or where he came from. It’s about the policies he has today.” They pointed to his chief counsel, Ramzi Kassem, who represented an Al-Qaeda terrorist held at Guantánamo. Charles Wolf said Giuliani and Pataki held their hands after the attacks. “Mayor Mamdani has not shown any of that.” Mamdani says he loves the city and wants the week focused on families and first responders. A chunk of Himalayan ice snapped off at about 17,000 feet and turned into what Nepal’s disaster chief called a “tsunami from the sky.” Watch what happened. Around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, the collapse smashed into a valley, dammed the Lhende River, then let go. A 33-foot wall of water, mud, and debris tore down the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli. Villages were wiped out. About 25 miles of road and 19 bridges are gone. At least 273 people are dead. More than 1,300 are missing. U.S. Geological Survey first reported a 4.4 earthquake north of Kathmandu, then said the seismic reading was the glacier and the debris flow — no quake. This is not a distant postcard. Nepalese officials say 63 American citizens are among the missing, including a California couple on a Mount Kailash pilgrimage. More than 5,000 army and police are in the search.
