Some of our earliest episodes on Most Things Kenobi was to discuss the meaning and thought process behind both the Jedi Code and the Sith Code. This time, we're going back to both codes and we're playing the skeptic! We tackle the tough job of trying to find the "good" in the Sith Code (if possible) while doing our damndest to defend each line. There's just something about Star Wars and hallways, isn't there? Hallways are often used to represent in-betweenness, where characters pause, confront tension, or undergo change, often evoking themes of isolation, fear, inner exploration, and transformation. Some of the most iconic scenes in Star Wars have taken place in hallways: we all know Luke's hallway scene, Vader's hallway scene, even Rey's hallway scene...but let's not forget about Obi-Wan's hallway scenes - because there are MANY—and they're all epic! We counted as many "hallway fight scenes" as we could , trying to dissect all the halls that Obi-Wan has fought his way out of. How many, you ask? This time we're asking: What if Anakin had told Obi-Wan, instead of Mace Windu, that Palpatine was a Sith? What would have happened? (SPOILERS IN THIS EPISODE!) We saw the trailer to "Lego Star Wars: Pieces of the Past" and got SUPER EXCITED when we saw we were getting - at least in *some* form - Sith Obi-Wan/Dark Side Obi-Wan/Evil Obi-Wan. We powered through the episodes of "Pieces of the Past" and waited anxiously for the big debut of Sith Obi-Wan...only to be disappointed by a very brief showing of this darker version of Obi-Wan. James Arnold Taylor (and honestly, ALL the voice actors/actresses) nailed the part, but we wanted more!
