Research voices features people from across the Manchester Met research community sharing their experiences working and researching within the University. Professor Rob Ralphs is a Professor of Criminology and Social Policy with 15 years experience of research and lecturing in the areas of substance misuse, youth crime, violent crime, gangs, criminal justice policy and criminological theory.

His research focuses on embedding sensing, communication, control, and data analytic technologies in critical infrastructure, i.e. energy systems, transport, buildings, water.

Her work focuses on the work-life interface, wellbeing at work and reproductive health.

In particular, exploring the consumption behaviours of families and younger consumers.

Her research focuses on the application of extended reality such as augmented reality and virtual reality on the user experience within different industries.

She leads the Open Research team based in Library & Cultural Services, offering support and expertise across a wide range of open research areas.
