On this week's edition of the podcast Peter and Ronan sit down to take stock on what a glorious fortnight for Irish golf it has been and for the county of Clare after Lahinch and Doonbeg were the stage for two famous days.Shane Lowry rewrote the narrative of his season with a clinical thumping display of front running as he pummelled the field into submission to win his second Irish Open and his first victory since 2022. Just south in The Netherlands, Leona Maguire also changed the fortunes of her year as she played a key role in helping Europe win back the Solheim Cup with a thrilling win over the USA. The touch paper was lit though by one of sport's greatest comebacks as GB&I downed the USA in Lahinch for their first triumph since 2015.

On a day where the major championship scoring record was equalled twice, day two of the Open Championship was all about Bryson DeChambeau who was assessed a two shot penalty for inadvertently improving his lie on the fifth.
